The Hero Moto Corp is gearing up to launch the new Hero Destini 125 in India. The two-wheeler manufacturer has been releasing a series of teasers showcasing the new design language of its upcoming 125cc scooter. Apart from the cosmetic upgrades, the Hero Destini will get some new features as well. All in all, the new Hero Destini is going to be a great update over the current gen model and a worthy competitor to the Honda Activa at the same time. Hero Destini 125: Design

The new Destini 125 has received a new makeover which looks completely different from the current-gen model. It features a new LED square-shaped headlamp. Also, the front indicators are now horizontally positioned compared to the vertically stacked units on the current-gen model. The chrome treatment has also been replaced with bronze on the new Destini 125. The upcoming scooter is expected to offer 12-inch alloy wheels as well.

Hero Destini 125: Features

In terms of features, the Hero Destini 125 features LED headlamps and taillights. The new tail light is much sleeker than the previously available halogen bulb-type unit. Additionally, you get a digital display with Bluetooth connectivity (expected) and a backrest with the top-end Xtec variant. The digital display may offer features such as turn-by-turn navigation and call/sms alerts. On the safety front, the Destini 125 will offer front disc brakes with the higher variants.

New Destini 125: Engine

Though information about the engine is scarce, we are expecting the new Destini 125 to continue with the same 124.6cc, air-cooled engine. We can also expect the same engine to arrive in a new state of tune for better fuel efficiency and power delivery. As for the power figure, the previous powerplant used to generate 9 bhp of power and 10.4 Nm of torque.

Hero Destini 125: Price and Rivals

However, there is no official word on the pricing, the Hero Destini 125 is expected to arrive at a starting price tag of Rs. 80,000 going up to Rs. 85,000. Once launched, the new Destini 125 will lock horns with the Honda Activa 125 and the Suzuki Access 125.
