• The Tiago NRG gets dual-tone treatment from the outside. The black grill and black body cladding running all around the vehicle give it a muscular appeal. It enhances the overall aesthetics of the car.
• The blacked-out door handles, black roof, and 15” alloys stand out in the competition.
• The black treatment on the tailgate might be controversial from the rear. However, the silver skid plate reduces the all-black look on the NRG variant.
  

• The interiors of the TIAGO NRG are all black-toned. This can be a bit claustrophobic to some but has a sporty element to it. The seats are comfortable enough. The height-adjustable driver seat is a good feature.
• The fit-finish quality of the cabin could be improved and plastics are a bit scratchy. The HARMAN infotainment system provides FM and Bluetooth connectivity. It also supports wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. 
• Features like push button start/stop and all-digital instrument clusters help maintain the cabin's character. Four speakers and two tweeters provide the audio output.

• The Tiago NRG is powered by the same 1.2 L 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 83 BHP of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. This engine is seen in a majority of entry-level TATA lineups and is a good engine.
• Some vibrations can be felt inside due to the three-cylinder engine. The NVH levels are also prominent and the engine is a bit noisy.
• There is a CNG option as well. This option provides a fuel efficiency of 25-27 Km/Kg which is optimally very good for daily city driving.
  

• The Tiago NRG has a good balance of ride and handling as compared to its competitors. The NRG has a bit of a stiffer suspension as compared to the regular Tiago. The enhanced steering wheel provides a better connection on the road. The tweaked mechanical grip also improves the connection on the road.
• The Tiago NRG has Independent and Lower wishbone McPherson struts up front. It also has a Mac Pherson Strut with Coil Spring arrangement at the back. These features contribute to its good ride quality. The Tiago NRG aims to strike a balance. It is a striking-looking hatchback and a comfortable family-oriented vehicle.
  

The NRG, which is based on the Tata Tiago, undoubtedly benefited from the donor model's excellent level of crash safety. Actually, the Tiago is the only vehicle in its class right now to have a 4-star safety certification from Global NCAP.
