Tata Tiago NRG XT vs Tiago XT - Know The Differences Here

Tata Motors recently updated the XT variant of their entry-level hatchback, Tiago. This is the most value-for-money trim available in Tiago's line-up and with the added features, it targets the buyers of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios as well as Maruti Swift. However, Tiago XT is not the only hatchback that gets changes as its more rugged sibling, Tiago NRG too will now get an update. The carmaker will soon introduce the XT version of the Tiago NRG.

As can be seen, spending more money and going with the Tiago NRG XT gets you an additional length of 37 mm, 11 mm more ground clearance and 2 mm increased height. The width and wheelbase of both cars stick to 1677 mm and 2400 mm, respectively.

Features

Over the Tiago XT, the Tiago NRG XT gets body cladding, an infinity black roof with roof rails, charcoal black interior, front fog lights, rear defogger, rear wiper and washer.

Both the cars get all four power windows, rake adjustment for the steering wheel, electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators, a digital instrument cluster, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth and AUX-in connectivity. They also get a standard warranty of 2 years/75,000 km.

Safety Equipment

Both the models are equipped with dual airbags at the front, front seat-belt reminder, a high-speed alert system, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, rear parking sensors and more. Tata Tiago scored 4 stars in the Global NCAP crash test which makes it the only hatchback to score this much when compared with its rivals.

Mechanical Details

Both the cars are offered with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor. This engine gets mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard and AMT as an option. The peak power and torque stick to 84 bhp and 113 Nm.

Prices

Tata Tiago XT is priced at Rs 5.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The price of the Tiago NRG XT is not yet out but we do expect it to be priced between Rs 6.30 lakh to Rs 6.40 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
