Honda recently launched the 2020 Grazia in the Indian market with an updated BS6 engine and updated setup. The Honda Grazia is positioned in the market as a fun to drive, performance-oriented 125 cc scooter and competes head-on with the TVS NTORQ. With this being said, how good is the Grazia against its cheif rival, lets found out in this 2020 Honda Grazia BS6 Vs TVS NTORQ 125 battle.
Engine, Gearbox, and Performance

The Honda Grazia is powered by a 124 cc engine which churns out 8.25 PS and 10.3 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a V-Matic (CVT) gearbox and is very smooth and refined. The low-end grunt of this engine is great and it pulls strongly right from the start. Even with similar power and torque output, the Grazia feels peppier when pitted against the NTORQ as it weighs almost 10 kgs less than the NTORQ.

The TVS NTORQ, on the other hand, is also powered by a 124.8 cc engine that churns out 9.38 PS and 10.5 Nm of maximum torque. Just like the Grazia, the NTORQ too gets a CVT gearbox. However, the NTORQ is not as smooth as the Grazia and marginally falls behind the Grazia in terms of refinement. On the plus side though, the engine powering the NTORQ gets a strong high-end and does not lose its breath till 75-80 kmph.

Ride and Handling

The 2020 Honda Grazia is underpinned by an under-bone type chassis and feels extremely agile. The highspeed stability is great and there are no strong vibrations. The ride and handling balance is spot on and the suspension soaks in all the undulations and bumps, making the rider and the pillion stay comfortable on badly patched up roads. The scooter gets telescopic shockers at the front while the rear gets a 3-step adjustable, spring-loaded shock absorber.

Unlike the Honda Grazia, the TVS NTORQ gets stiffer suspension setup making it a better handler at higher speeds. While high-speed stability is great, the slow speed ride quality is not very great. At the front, the NTORQ gets telescopic dampers and coil springs at the rear. Overall, the NTORQ gets much better handling but lacks in overall comfort levels. The bigger 12 inch wheel at the rear is good for longer rides though.

Looks and Dimensions

The updated Honda Grazia a very aggressive styling and Honda's modern design language is clearly evident. Comparing it to the outgoing model, the Grazia looks a lot more mature and attractive. In addition to this, the Honda Grazia gets 171 mm ground clearance which makes it highly practical for urban usage.

The TVS NTORQ, on the other hand, gets a rather subtle design language with a number of sporty elements. The overall seating is comfortable and the design language looks distinctive. While the Honda Grazia and the NTORQ look equally appealing, the NTORQ, with just 155 mm of ground clearance lacks in overall practicality.
