2021 TVS NTorq 125 BS6 Pros and Cons

Engine Performance and Exhaust Sound - The TVS NTorq 125 is one of the most powerful 125cc scooters currently on sale in India, if not the most powerful one. The NTorq 125 is powered by a BS6 compliant 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine. This BS6 motor churns out 9.25 PS of power at 7000 RPM and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The mill comes mated to a CVT and it gets Race-Tuned Fuel-injection (RT-Fi) technology too to offer superior performance and smooth acceleration. The exhaust of the TVS NTorq 125 has a sporty snarl.

Best-in-Class Features - The TVS NTorq 125 was launched in 2018 and ever since its launch it has remained the most technologically advanced scooter sold in India. The Ntorq 125 gets an all-digital instrument cluster with TVS' Smart Xonnect System and it displays a ton of information. It gets Bluetooth connectivity too and offers more than 60 connected-tech features. The new Race Edition and Super Squad Editions of the NTorq 125 also get an all-LED headlamp with a signature T-shaped daytime running LED.

Brakes and Hardware Bits - The TVS NTorq 125 has a phenomenal braking system. For braking duties, it gets a 130 mm drum unit at the rear while at the front, one can opt between a 220 mm disc and a 130 mm drum unit. It gets TVS' Synchronised Braking Technology (SBT) too as an additional safety aid. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front while at the rear, it gets coil spring with hydraulic dampers. Also, it rides on 12-inch tubeless tyres. The front tyre measures 100/80-12 while the rear one measures 110/80-12.

2021 TVS NTorq 125 BS6 Pros and Cons

Price - The TVS NTorq is currently priced in India between Rs. 70,555 - Rs. 79,535, Ex-showroom Delhi. At this price point, the NTorq 125 BS6 turns out to be a great performance-oriented feature-rich gearless scooter.

CONS

Weight - Now, let us talk about some negative points of the TVS NTorq 125. The first con of the NTorq 125 is that it is quite heavy. The NTorq 125 BS6 weighs around 118 kgs which is quite heavy from a scooter's perspective and so it might not be the perfect choice for beginners or amateurs.

Fuel-efficiency - The TVS NTorq 125 is primarily a performance-oriented scooter and so you can't expect outstanding fuel-economy figures from it. That said, if you ride sedately, it will impress you with its fuel-efficiency.

After-sales Service - That's not a negative point about the NTorq 125 but it is a negative point about TVS. TVS is an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer and the company has a wide reach across the country. However, in some non-metro cities and towns, the company's service isn't upto the mark.
