In the Indian market, the Aprilia RS 457 is priced at Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes in a single variant. You can choose from three cool colours - Prismatic Dark, Racing Stripes, and Opalescent Light. The Racing Stripes option has a vibrant red base with white and black stripes for a bold and sporty look. If you prefer something mysterious, the Prismatic Dark comes in a deep black colour with hints of blue and green that change in different lights. For a unique and eye-catching choice, the Opalescent Light features a pearlescent white base with iridescent flakes that shimmer in the sunlight.

Design

The Aprilia RS 457 is an impressive new supersport bike designed to provide an exciting ride with advanced technology and bold Italian design. Taking inspiration from the larger RS 660, it showcases sleek, aerodynamic fairings. Up front, you'll notice a triple LED headlight setup with a main projector and two smaller daytime running lights. The back features stylish LED tail lights and turn signals seamlessly integrated into the design.

Functional ram air ducts in the fairing cool the engine, enhancing performance. With twin-layered fairings, matte black lower panels, and glossy upper panels, the RS 457's bodywork is shaped for optimal airflow and reduced drag. It sports low handlebars and rear-set footpegs, and the seat and footpegs are adjustable to suit riders of different heights and preferences.

Engine

The Aprilia RS 457 sports a Type 2 parallel forward-facing twin-cylinder engine with 4 valves per cylinder and a liquid-cooling system, packing a punch at 457 cc. It reaches a maximum power output of 47.6 HP (35 kW) at 9,400 rpm and achieves peak torque of 43.5 Nm at 6,700 rpm. Its transmission system includes a 6-speed gearbox coupled with a multi-plate wet clutch featuring a slipper system for smoother operation. The bore and stroke dimensions come in at 69 x 61.1 mm.

Features

The Aprilia RS 457 boasts a contemporary design with its LED headlight assembly and a clear 5-inch TFT instrument. Packed with advanced features, it includes Engine maps (AEM), dual-channel ABS equipped with an anti-roll-over system featuring two maps, traction control (ATC), and metal-braided brake hoses. The backlit handlebar controls and Ride-By-Wire technology enhance ease of use. Offering versatility, it comes with three riding modes, making it an accessible and advanced choice for riders.

Hardware And Dimension

The Aprilia RS 457 is built on a robust dual-beam aluminium frame, providing a solid foundation for its dynamic features. Equipped with a front suspension system consisting of a 41mm upside-down fork with adjustable preload and 120mm travel, and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload and 130mm wheel travel, the bike ensures a smooth and responsive ride. Braking is handled effectively by a 320mm floating disc with a ByBre 4-piston radial calliper in the front and a 220mm disc with a ByBre single-piston calliper in the rear. The 17-inch aluminium alloy rims, 3 inches wide in the front and 4.5 inches wide in the rear, contribute to the bike's stability and agility on the road.

With a comfortable seat height of 800mm and a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres, the Aprilia RS 457 has a wet weight of 175kg.
