Last Updated on 24th Nov'23:Aprilia is set to launch the RS 457 sports bike in the Indian market, with pre-bookings now open. However, the prices for the model have not been officially announced yet. Diego Arioli, Head of Product Marketing, Motorcycles, Piaggio Group, has indicated that the RS 457 could be priced between Rs 3.75 lakh and Rs 4 lakh in India.
Price: The expected price for the Aprilia RS 457 is Rs 4-4.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Engine: The Aprilia RS 457 is equipped with a 457 cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine featuring dual camshaft timing and four valves per cylinder, capable of producing 47 hp. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Features: The Aprilia RS 457 boasts a distinctive three-pot LED headlamp and a 5-inch TFT color instrument panel that includes a Speedometer, Odometer, Tripmeter, Fuel gauge, Gear position indicator, Engine temperature display, Clock, Indicator lights, Navigation instructions, Phone and music notifications, and Rider settings. Additionally, its handlebar controls are illuminated. The bike offers three riding modes and three selectable levels of traction control.
Safety: The Aprilia RS 457 has a 320 mm front disc with a Bybre 4-piston radial caliper and a 220 mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper. It also comes with dual-channel ABS and an optional quick-shifter.
Rivals: The RS 457 faces competition from the Kawasaki Ninja 400 and KTM RC 390.
