Honda Activa 6G scooter will soon get a new Premium Edition. Honda has teased its upcoming scooter which will offer a revised design & added features.
Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India has been teasing an upcoming Activa for weeks now. Most of the predictions until now were that it will be the next-gen Activa 7G. However, the hopes have been shattered for the 7G. The latest teaser shows that it will be a Premium Edition of Honda Activa 6G.
Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition Details
As seen in the teased photo, the Premium Edition will be more or less the same as the standard Activa. However, it is going to get targeted with a premium scooter approach. This means it will come equipped with a more fancy and reworked design. So, what to expect from it? Well, the body and dimensions will remain the same but with cosmetic changes.
According to the previously teased photos and the latest one; changes are subtle. The front will have a golden reworked highlights. The headlight design probably will remain the same. However, we can expect a new headlight cowl and maybe some graphics over the front body panel.
The side profile has been teased currently. It shows us that the Activa badge is now golden painted along with the 'Premium' golden badge. Meanwhile, the rear-end design looks similar to the current model. We think that Honda is going to pitch this as a refresh and top-end variant for Activa. Customers who want more than the standard-looking Activa will divulge towards it.
Engine & Specifications
The Activa has been equipped with a BS6 109.5cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine churns out 7.68 hp of peak power. A CVT gearbox drives the rear wheel into a smooth operation. We suspect that the upcoming Premium Edition will come with the same engine. However, we can not comment on that as there are no official details about it.
But, as it will be a more costly variant, the features will include like LED lighting, a USB phone charging socket, etc. Meanwhile, we hope that Honda will introduce it with a fully digital instrument panel.

Price & Rivals
The current Honda Activa 6G is priced at Rs 74,400 ex-showroom for the Deluxe variant. Considering the badge of Premium; we suspect that the pricing will go a few thousand higher than it. It main rivals are - TVS Jupiter, Hero Maestro Edge, & Hero Pleasure Plus.
