Honda Grazia BS6 - Overview

Honda launched the Grazia 125 scooter in November 2017 in the Indian market and it was known as a sporty alternative to the meek Activa. As the BS6 norms came in, Honda decided to discontinue the Grazia. Skip to 2020, Honda is back with the new BS6 Grazia 125. The new Grazia gets updated styling, engine, features and colours.

Honda Grazia BS6 First Look Review - Design and Dimensions

Honda has heavily updated the looks of the Grazia and the front is full of LEDs. The headlight cowl gets two small LED DRLs whereas the main LED headlight sits down below, as before. The taillight is now fixed inverted and the external fuel filling cap sits atop. Talking about the dimensions, the Grazia measures 1829mm in length, 707mm in width and 1167mm in height whereas the wheelbase is 1260mm. The fuel tank capacity is 5.3 litres and the ground clearance is 171mm. Overall, the Grazia measures smaller than the Activa 125 and also weights 3 kilos lesser than the Activa 125.

Honda Grazia BS6 has got a lot of features and some of them are carried over from the recently updated Activa 125 as well. The new features include new LED DRLs, glove box, digital speedometer with ECO indications, ideal start/stop, engine kill switch with integrated starter button, silent start with ACG starter, side-stand engine cut function and front disc brake. All these features have made their way to the new Grazia and it now feels more premium and offers much more than before.

Honda Grazia BS6 First Look Review - Suspension, Brakes and Tyres

Honda Grazia BS6 gets telescopic front suspension and the rear gets 3-step adjustable single shock absorber. Talking about the brakes, the Grazia gets 190mm disc at the front and 130mm drum at the rear. The Grazia comes with 90/90-12 54J front tyre and 90/100-10 53J rear tyre. We would have preferred to see a taller, 12 inch wheel at the rear though.

Honda Grazia BS6 First Look Review - Engine and Performance

Honda Grazia BS6 comes with a 124cc single-cylinder fuel-injected petrol engine which churns out 8.13 BHP at 6000 rpm and 10.3 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm mated to a V-Matic transmission. The engine produces its peak power at 6000 rpm which is 500rpm earlier than what we see in the Activa 125. In real-world, that translates to peppy and effortless riding experience. The lighter weight helps too.
