What's New with the Chetak 3503?

While the Chetak 3503 shares its core underpinnings with the more expensive 3501 and 3502 models, Bajaj has made a few strategic tweaks to bring the costs down without compromising the scooter's core appeal. It uses the same 3.5 kWh battery mounted in the floor, delivering a claimed range of 155 km on a full charge. However, its top speed is limited to 63 kmph, which is slightly lower than its siblings.

Charging takes a bit longer too - the scooter reaches 80 percent state of charge in around 3 hours and 25 minutes using the standard off-board charger, compared to the quicker 3-hour charging time of the higher trims.

Features and Equipment

Cost-cutting is evident in a few areas:

bInstead of a TFT screen, the 3503 gets a colour LCD cluster with basic Bluetooth functionality.
It does not get premium features like sequential indicators, keyless go, or a lockable glovebox.
A traditional physical key replaces the smart key system found on the pricier models.

Despite these omissions, Bajaj has retained important highlights like the all-metal body, hill-hold assist, and Eco/Sport riding modes, maintaining the Chetak's solid and premium feel.

Bajaj hasn't skimped on practicality. The Chetak 3503 offers a generous 35-litre underseat storage compartment, perfect for everyday essentials, along with a 725 mm-long seat and enhanced footboard space, making it convenient for both rider and pillion.
