Moto Morini India Price Hike: What's Changed

The Seiemmezzo 650 twins, the Retro Street and Scrambler, now cost Rs. 4.79 lakh and Rs. 4.82 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Both have witnessed an increase of approximately Rs. 50,000 over their previous prices of Rs. 4.29 lakh each. Meanwhile, the X-Cape 650, Moto Morini's adventure tourer, now carries a price tag of Rs. 6.40 lakh, marking a rise of Rs. 41,000. Its more off-road-focused sibling, the X-Cape 650X, has gone up by Rs. 40,000, bringing its new price to Rs. 6.70 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
The brand attributed this price revision to post-festive market adjustments after absorbing the impact of the GST revision introduced in September 2025. With the festive offers now concluded, the updated pricing aligns with Moto Morinis strategy to balance costs amid changing taxation and import dynamics.

Seiemmezzo 650 Twins: Retro Appeal Meets Modern Tech

The Seiemmezzo 650 Retro Street and Scrambler remain mechanically identical, both powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine delivering 55hp and 54Nm of torque. The key differences between the two variants are visual and functional where the Scrambler gets wire-spoke wheels, a beak-style front mudguard, and a small flyscreen, while the Retro Street features alloy wheels and a cleaner, more urban look. Despite the price increase, both models continue to offer strong value in the middleweight roadster segment, competing against rivals like the Kawasaki Z650RS, Honda CB650R, and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
X-Cape 650 & 650X

The X-Cape 650 and its more adventure-focused variant, the X-Cape 650X, also share the same 649cc parallel-twin engine, though here it's tuned slightly higher at 60hp and 54Nm. Both models feature long-travel suspension, all-LED lighting, ride modes, and a large TFT display, making them serious contenders in the growing mid-size adventure touring segment. The 650X, being the more rugged sibling, comes equipped with spoked wheels and off-road tyres, making it better suited for trail riding.
Verdict
While the price hike of up to Rs. 53,000 might disappoint potential buyers, it's in line with broader market trends where brands are realigning prices after temporary festive subsidies. Moto Morini's lineup continues to stand out for its European design, capable engines, and distinct character in a segment dominated by Japanese and Indian manufacturers. If the company maintains its focus on customer service and parts availability, these updated prices are unlikely to dampen enthusiasm among riders looking for something premium yet distinctive in the 650cc category. Although the just average brand recall stands in its way as a rough uphill climb.
