Indian EV brand Oben has announced the delivery timeline of its first electric motorcycle Rorr. Oben Rorr deliveries will start the first week of July. Oben Rorr Electric Motorcycle
The Oben Rorr electric motorcycle features an in-house developed 10 kW IPMSM motor that delivers impressive acceleration (0-40 kmph in 3 seconds) and achieves a top speed of 100 kmph. It offers a certified range of 187 km (IDC), the highest among electric two-wheelers in India. Additionally, it stands out with its first-in-segment LFP (Lithium Ferrous Phosphorous) cell technology-based battery pack, which is designed and developed in-house. This battery pack provides twice the battery life compared to others and boasts a 50% higher heat resistance, making it the safest electric two-wheeler available in India. The Oben Rorr's 4.4 kWh battery can be fully charged at home within a mere 120 minutes (2 hours).
On the features front, Oben Rorr comes equipped with a wide range of connectivity and security features. The Oben App offers a comprehensive analysis of the bike, including details about its range and navigation. Notable safety features include Driver's Warning, Combined Braking System, Geo-Tagging, Geo-fencing, Battery Theft Protection, and Charging Station Locator.

Verdict: The company has a comprehensive R&D strategy that includes creating and testing a prototype for their second product, which is scheduled to go on sale in 2024. The Revolt RV400, Hop OXO, and other electric bikes in the similar price range are competitors of the Oben Rorr.
