The new Carnival retains the turbo-diesel engine option from its predecessor, and local assembly is being considered for the future.
Kia has launched the all-new 2024 Carnival in India. It is available in one, fully loaded version that is called Limousine Plus. Like the earlier model, the new Carnival is also powered by a turbo-diesel engine that produces 190 bhp of power and 441 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 8-speed automatic gearbox. With the Carnival, Kia is trying to cater to the huge vacuum that is currently seen between the Toyota Hycross and the Vellfire for those looking at a spacious, feature loaded and comfortable luxury MPV.

2024 KIA Carnival gets an all new design with SUV inspired front fascia. The MPV boasts KIA’s signature Tiger nose grille which looks imposing, the fog lamps are neatly integrated in the lower bumper and surrounded by silver finish and matte chrome plated skid plate. Moreover, it now gets new vertically stacked LED headlamps and new L-shaped DRLs.

The side profile gets new 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, blacked out pillars with C-pillar featuring silver finish, roof rails, door mounted ORVMs with integrated turn signals, side sill chrome garnish. Moreover, the Carnival gets power sliding rear door.

At rear, the MPV boasts new LED rear combination lamps with similar design seen on the Seltos and other KIA cars. It gets an integrated rear spoiler, a high mounted stop lamp, matte chrome plated rear skid plates, a shark fin antenna among other highlights.

With the new Carnival, KIA has taken a step forward in terms of cabin experience and feature offering. The new Carnival comes with a 7-seater version only which is in 2+2+3 seater configuration. The brand has offers premium Tuscan and Umber 2 tone colour theme. Only the Limousine Plus variant is available so far, and Kia has received over 3,300 orders within a couple of months, causing the extended wait time. The premium 7-seater MPV is priced at Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and deliveries are progressing steadily as production ramps up.
The 2024 Kia Carnival brings a host of premium features to the large MPV segment, including a dual-panel sunroof, Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a 12.3-inch touchscreen with connected tech, and a large curved digital cluster. The Carnival also offers Captain seats, multiple driving modes, and enhanced safety kit across variants, underlining Kia’s focus on comfort, luxury, and technology in its flagship people-mover for India.
The Kia Carnival demand has surged significantly, leading to a waiting period of nearly one year for some variants.
