Last Updated On 12th Aug'25: The Honda SP 125 is one of the popular models in the Honda lineup. Similar to its siblings, the Activa 110 and Activa 125, this one gets the Anniversary edition updates. With this edition, the SP 125 gets refreshed graphics on the side, while the fuel tank holds a Anniversary Edition Badging on the top. Apart from this, the alloys have been painted in pyrite brown for a distinctive appeal. Just like the other models, this one also gets the same 123.92cc, single-cylinder, PGM-FI, OBD2B-compliant engine that belts out 10.72 bhp and 10.9 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, this edition only carries the DLX variant, priced at Rs 1,02,516 (ex-showroom).
The 2025 SP 125 was launched not too long ago, with a set of very subtle updates. The design of the commuter has been given minor tweaks, while the powertrain has now become OBD2b compliant to meet the emission norms. It now also gets a 4.2-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, navigation, voice commands, and a USB type-C charging port.

Should I buy the SP 125?
Honda SP 125 is a commuter bike that is positioned above the entry-level category. With its subtle design and good build quality, it offers a complete family package. However, it has very less features when compared to rivals. With its comfortable ride quality and Honda’s reliable setup, it is made for family buyers looking for a sensible everyday commuter.
- The Honda SP 125 is based on the bigger SP 160 but it looks and feels slim than it due to its smaller engine. The overall styling is subtle and it depicts a proper family commuter bike.
- Honda’s superb attention to detail is visible throughout it. The quality of the plastic, panels, and fit and finish is very good it.
- The SP 125 is a comfortable commuter bike with a single seat that offers good cushioning and space for two people. Also, its rider position is easy due to the handlebar tilted towards the rider and the footpegs positioned in the centre.

- The 125cc engine on the SP 125 is taken from Shine. It is a very refined and smooth engine with slim to no vibrations. It is very responsive at low speeds and you can easily stretch it on open roads without any stress. The bike can easily maintain 70 kmph all day long.
- Refinement of this engine is best-in-segment. It has almost no vibrations and the engine doesn’t even feel strained during hard riding.
- The ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency of SP 125 is 60 kmpl. With easy riding within the city, the bike can give upwards of 55 kmpl.

- The suspension quality of the SP125 is its highlight. It has a very comfortable ride quality. Sharp potholes and undulations of the road are easily ironed out by its suspension. Even with a pillion, the bike remains calm and poised on the road.
- The handling of it is on the neutral side. It is a commuter bike and hence the handling is tuned for comfort rather than fun. However, the rider does not feel underconfident on bad roads, curves, and fast highways it.
- The disc brake variants of the SP125 offer strong braking power. However, these are steeply priced and there is no ABS option as well.
- In terms of features, it is less equipped when compared to rivals. It has an LED headlight and a digital instrument console that displays gear position, speed, etc. However, there is no Bluetooth connectivity or any connected features on offer.
- In terms of safety, it only gets an option of a front disc brake. There is not even an optional ABS version available.

Honda introduced 25-year Anniversary Editions of the Activa 110, Activa 125 and SP 125, featuring special graphics, a commemorative logo and premium cosmetic elements. These models also get features like LED lighting, TFT display and USB charging, while remaining mechanically unchanged.
The 2025 Honda SP125 gets updates like OBD-2B compliance, refreshed styling with new LED lighting and graphics, and a 4.2-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, navigation and voice assist. It continues with the same 124cc engine and 5-speed gearbox, with no change in performance figures.
Honda launched the SP125 Sports (Limited) Edition at Rs 90,567 (ex-showroom, Delhi) with cosmetic updates like new graphics, stripes, matte muffler cover and fresh colour options. It remains mechanically unchanged, continuing with the same 123.94cc engine and 5-speed gearbox.
The 2023 Honda SP125 was launched in India with prices starting at Rs 85,131 (ex-showroom), bringing an OBD-2 compliant engine to meet stricter emission norms. It also received new colour options, while continuing with the same commuter-focused 125cc setup.
