Latest Updates on Carnival
The all-new Kia Carnival is currently seeing high demand in India, with customers facing a waiting period of around six months for deliveries due to strong bookings since its launch. Only the Limousine Plus variant is available so far, and Kia has received over 3,300 orders within a couple of months, causing the extended wait time. The premium 7-seater MPV is priced at Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and deliveries are progressing steadily as production ramps up.
The 2024 Kia Carnival brings a host of premium features to the large MPV segment, including a dual-panel sunroof, Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a 12.3-inch touchscreen with connected tech, and a large curved digital cluster. The Carnival also offers Captain seats, multiple driving modes, and enhanced safety kit across variants, underlining Kia’s focus on comfort, luxury, and technology in its flagship people-mover for India.
The Kia Carnival demand has surged significantly, leading to a waiting period of nearly one year for some variants. High bookings across the MPV’s lineup, especially for premium trims, and limited supply have pushed delivery timelines out to around 10-12 months in several cities. Kia is gradually ramping up production to reduce the backlog, but buyers should expect extended wait times before deliveries begin.
The Kia Carnival now boasts improved fuel efficiency, with official ARAI-rated figures showing 14.85 km/l, which is 0.95 km/l better than the previous generation. This comes from its updated 2.2-litre diesel engine matched to an eight-speed automatic. The MPV retains a 72-litre tank, potentially offering over 1,000 km range on a full tank, while interior features and premium equipment remain unchanged.
Kia has launched the 2024 Carnival in India with prices starting at Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Limousine Plus variant. The premium 7-seater MPV comes with a 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic, and boasts a rich features list including dual sunroof, Level-2 ADAS, connected tech, and plush interiors, positioned as a flagship people-mover in its segment.
