Mahindra Scorpio Classic

The waiting period for the Mahindra Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic has reduced in April 2024, bringing some relief to buyers amid strong demand. The Scorpio N now sees waiting times of around 2–3 months for most variants, with the base diesel manual still commanding up to 4-5 months, while the Scorpio Classic ranges between 2–5 months depending on the variant.

Mahindra has updated the colour palette of the Thar and Scorpio Classic by introducing a new Stealth Black shade, replacing the earlier Napoli Black paint option. The update is largely cosmetic, with both SUVs now offered in revised colour options, five for the Thar and four for the Scorpio Classic, while no mechanical or feature changes have been made.

Mahindra is set to introduce a new variant of the Scorpio Classic soon, likely positioned between the existing S and S11 trims to better bridge the gap in the lineup. This mid-spec variant is expected to offer a more balanced mix of features and pricing, aimed at attracting buyers who want more equipment than the base model without stretching to the top-end version.

Mahindra is likely to introduce new variants of the Scorpio Classic and Bolero with expanded seating options, targeting buyers who prioritise practicality and people-carrying capacity. The Scorpio Classic S5 is expected to offer multiple configurations, including 7-seater (bench or captain seats) and a 9-seater layout, while the top-spec S11 could also gain a 9-seat option.
