There are rather surprising signs of cost-cutting, in the form of cheaper materials used in the upholstery.

Toyota Vellfire Detailed Review
Any angle you approach the Vellfire from, it stands out. Its size, boxy form, and spectacular front end will probably surprise you whether you're looking at it from the front, side, or back. Regarding cuts, folds, and shapes, the van has a lot going on. The Vellfire has a length of 4,935 mm which makes it smaller than the Kia Carnival.
The spacious interior of the Vellfire and the MPV's slab-like sides combine to give the impression that it is larger than it is. To notice the "samurai's piercing look" influence in the front end, you'll need to use your imagination, but the double decker headlight and chrome-heavy grille give the Vellfire a profile unlike any other. Your best clue that the massive vehicle next to you at a stoplight is a Vellfire is a slanted second row window. The cliff-like rear also benefits from LED lights, a roof spoiler, and a heavy coating of chrome.
Summary
Chrome dominated exteriors may sound like an eyesore, but the darker shade on the chrome embellishments makes the Vellfire look luxurious from the outside
The Vellfire's interior is where the luxury factor is most apparent, helping to try to explain the high price. The Vellfire is available with dual-tone (beige and black) or all-black interiors. The middle row of seats in this van provides a real luxury experience and is more luxurious than the front.
With a large center fascia and a plethora of buttons from the Toyota parts bin, the dashboard is standard fare. It feels expensive thanks to the use of soft touch materials throughout.
Both cooling and heating options, as well as memory settings, are available for the first and second rows. Aside from that, the front seats are very comfy because they have lots of back and shoulder support. It's good that the Ottoman feature, which is essentially a powered leg rest, also benefits the passenger seat.
You can't help but savor the large captain seats with their excellent cushioning and support, as well as the generous legroom, as soon as you pass the powered sliding doors and enter the middle row.
Summary
Well appointed interiors look very Lexus like and thereby justify a bit of the exorbitant pricing of the vehicle.
One benefit is that people in the third row won't feel like strangers. Given the huge amount of cabin space and the comfortable seating posture, it is incredibly simple to come to an amicable knee-room agreement with the middle-row passengers. Even further back, there is plenty of head and shoulder room. The rearmost seats are spacious enough for three people, but a middle passenger may find the center split uncomfortable. They perform admirably for two.
Included in the set are reclining backrests, fold-down armrests, dedicated AC vents, and even sunblinds for the back windows. Yes, one would anticipate that an MPV of the Vellfire's size and with sliding doors and middle row seats would make it simpler to access the back row.
Although the steering provides adequate feedback, the vellfire's body design prevents it from being a car that can be used for corner carving.
Summary
Comfort oriented suspension focuses on cocooning the passengers from the outside world.
A 2.5-litre gasoline engine producing 115 BHP and 198 Nm powers the Vellfire. Dual electric motors at the front and rear, each rated at 105 kW and 50 kW, function in tandem with the engine. A nickel metal hydride battery powers the hybrid electric system, which boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 16.35 km/l.
Its electric continuously variable transmission (CVT) allows for smooth and steady acceleration. Heavy footed driving just produces a rubber band effect. Although the steering provides adequate feedback, the vellfire's body design prevents it from being a car that can be used for corner carving.
The Vellfire has more than enough thrust thanks to the engine. The huge Toyota generates speed gracefully and does a good job of concealing its two-tonne plus weight. At least at standard driving speeds, it is fairly at peace with a full house and makes no noise from the engine compartment. You don't need to wind the engine very frequently either because of the available power. Additionally, the Vellfire can be operated in pure EV mode for brief distances. However, this demands extremely delicate accelerator inputs.
Summary
Hybrid powertrain on the Vellfire is a refined and a silent unit, which enhances comfort levels of the chauffeur driven owners. Fuel efficiency figures too are acceptable for the size of the vehicle.
Seven airbags, ABS+EBD, ESC, hill hold and descent control, TPMS, all-wheel disc brakes, ISOFIX, front and rear parking sensors with cameras, E-Call and SOS Switch, and driver drowsiness detection are just a few of the many safety features available.
Summary
Well laid out suite of safety features as expected from a CBU Vehicle.
