Next-Gen Toyota Vellfire MPV Unofficial Bookings Open- Read Details Here

The ultra-premium luxury MPV from the Japanese car giant, Toyota Vellfire 2023 has made its global debut. Following this, select dealerships across the country have started accepting unofficial bookings for the same. The token amount is set in the range of Rs. 2 lakhs to 5 lakhs depending on the dealerships and the location.

With the older stock almost sold out, those who have made the bookings for older gen are being informed to upgrade to the new-gen Vellfire.

Next-Gen Toyota Vellfire

The 4th gen Vellfire is a tweaked version of the previous generation and the first glimpse will not make you think otherwise. The updates are there, but the legacy is preserved. It gets a relatively fresh front styling with six-slat grilles with fog lamps inside the vertical housing on either end. A chrome strip runs along the lower lip of the bumper and ultimately fleshes in around the edges. More design elements have been reworked like the glass area and other chrome elements.

Also, the new Vellfire is now longer than before with a 3-meter wheelbase that can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.

The Magic Is Inside The Cabin

Toyota Vellfire is known for passenger comfort and seldom for what's on the outside. So, let's check out the cabin and what's new in there.

The cabin has moved to a relatively minimalistic design with fewer physical buttons at the front. Most of the controls are now within the bigger touchscreen on the dashboard. The seats are newly designed for an even more comfortable ride than before. A new overhead console for the back seat passengers with various controls, and multiple ac vents are some of the main highlights.

For the rear-seat passenger, the Executive lounge package is still on offer. It gets 2 captain seats in the second row with retractable table trays, hot and cold ventilation, and more. Also, it gets a detachable control panel that manages media and temperature. It is safe to say that the comfort is only on the higher side than before.

Powertrain

The new Vellfire is only available in 2 petrol engine options. However, no diesel unit is on offer in such a big-size vehicle. To compensate for this omission, a petrol hybrid powertrain is here. It gets a 2.4 L turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol unit that churns out 275 PS power with a peak torque of 450 Nm. On the other hand, the 2.5 L 4-cylinder petrol hybrid is good for 250 PS. But, as per some sources, the Indian unit will get the hybrid version only.

VERDICT- The premium MPV's pricing for India is not yet disclosed, but it will comfortably loom around the 1 crore mark. While it was always a comfort with a luxury package, the 4th generation improves on it even more.
