Last Updated On 20th Jan'26: Design : The VinFast VF5 features a compact, clean, minimalist silhouette with smooth surfaces and subtle character lines, giving it a modern and approachable look. The LED lighting setup at the front and rear adds a contemporary touch, while the signature VinFast V-shaped lighting elements help the VF5 stand out despite its compact footprint. Short overhangs, prominent wheel arches and simple aero-style wheels reinforce its city-friendly E-SUV stance.
Dimensions : Despite being positioned as an entry-level electric SUV, the VF5 offers well-balanced proportions. It measures 3,967 mm in length, 1,723 mm in width and 1,579 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,514 mm. A ground clearance of 164.5 mm further supports its usability on uneven city roads and speed breakers.
Features : Inside, the VinFast VF5 follows a clean and functional layout with a strong focus on simplicity. The cabin is centred around an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system anf a 7-inch digital cluster that handles most vehicle functions. Comfort and convenience features include keyless entry with push-button start, USB charging ports, cruise control,PM 2.5 filter, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and steering wheel with integrated media controls. 
Safety : Safety is addressed with a comprehensive list of standard features for its segment. The Indian-spec VF5 IS expected to be equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, rear parking sensors and a reverse camera and possibly an inclusion of ADAS as well.
Battery And Range : Powering the VinFast VF5 is a 37.23 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 134hp power and 135 Nm of torque. The VF5 claims a driving range of up to 326 km on a full charge, making it well-suited for daily commutes. Fast-charging capability allows the battery to charge from 10 to 70 percent in approximately 33 minutes, ensuring minimal downtime for urban users.
Launch And Price Expectations : VinFast is expected to introduce the VF5 in the Indian market around May-June 2026, marking it as one of the brand’s most accessible electric offerings for urban buyers. In terms of pricing, the compact electric SUV is likely to be positioned aggressively, with expected prices ranging between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom)
