The Vida VX2 has recently arrived, being the second scooter in the electric two-wheeler maker's lineup. This one is a bit different, as it focuses towards families, on essentially being the one scooter that all members of your family can use without much hassle.
This makes us think how different is it from the Vida V2, and hence we decided to put on our investigative journalism hats and bring you the differences between these two electric scooters. However, don't forget joining the 91wheels WhatsApp Community to keep up with the latest automotive updates.
Vida VX2 Vs V2: Design

Beginning with the new entrant here, the VX2 comes with a design that is more subtle and conservative, offering a look that will neither be too exciting or too offensive. There are no edgy visual elements and Vida has kept things simple. The front panel comes with the headlamp integrated neatly within. The side body panels also follow a rather simple and minimalistic design language, with no unnecessary elements, while the tail section comprises a stylish tail lamp neatly integrated into the panels, and there are motorcycle-like winkers for the turn indicators.

As for the V2, we mentioned that it is essentially a rebranded V1, with barely any changes to its design. However, a closer look will reveal one small change; the redesigned handlebar shroud. The rest of the design remains identical to the outgoing V1, featuring the funky headlight, the smooth and clutter-free body panels, split-seat setup, and the funky-looking rear.
Vida VX2 Vs Vida V2: Motor And Battery

The VX2 comes in two different variants, and it clearly has a deeper focus on offering more options to buyers out there. The VX2 comes with removable battery packs, but the top variant takes it a step further with a dual battery setup. Here is how the two variants differ:

---|---|---|
Battery Pack | 2.2 kWh (Removable) | 2 נ3.4 kWh (Removable) |
Total Battery Capacity | 2.2 kWh | 3.4 kWh |

Meanwhile, the Vida V2 is also available in three different variants, with all three variants offer different battery packs. Here is how the three variants of the V2 differ;

Battery capacity | 2.2kWh | 3.44kWh | 3.94kWh |
Claimed range | 94km | 143km | 165km |
Claimed charging time | 3.3 hours | 5.15 hours | 5.5 hours |
Vida VX2 Vs Vida V2: Performance
Both the VX2 Go and the VX2 Plus receive the same electric drivetrain, but the VX2 Plus is obviously the faster one, and it also reaches higher speeds, as shown in the table below.
Specification | Vida VX2 Go | Vida VX2 Plus |
---|---|---|
Motor Type | Hub-mounted PMSM | Hub-mounted PMSM |
Peak Power Output | 6 kW | 6 kW |
040 km/h Acceleration | 4.2 seconds | 3.1 seconds |
Top Speed | 70 km/h | 80 km/h |
As for the V2, all three variants share the same PMSM electric motor, and it continues to produce 8bhp and 25Nm of torque. However, there have been a few changes in some specifications here and there, and with a higher top speed, it is clear that the V2 has a better hand in terms of performance. The V2 Plus now reaches a claimed top speed of 85kmph, while the V2 Pro gets a claimed top speed of 90kmph. As for the V2 Lite, it reaches a claimed top speed of 69kmph. Nice.

Vida VX2 Vs Vida V2: Features

Both variants of the VX2 come with a 4.3-inch instrument cluster, but while the VX2 Go gets a basic LCD unit, the VX2 Plus comes with a more sophisticated TFT unit. Both variants also come with connectivity features, while also boasting of turn-by-turn navigation. The VX2 Plus comes with a front disc brake, and three ride modes; eco, ride, and sport, while the VX2 Go misses out on the Sport mode and it also gets drum brakes on both ends.

As for the V2, the standard features between all three variants include the 7-inch TFT cluster with OTA updates and day/night modes, along with follow-me headlights, keyless system, cruise control, electronic seat and handle lock, two-way throttle for regen and reverse, and incoming call alerts. However, one major differentiating factor between the three variants is ride modes. The V2 Lite comes only with two ride modes; eco and ride. The V2 Plus comes with an additional 'sport' mode, while the V2 Pro rounds things off with a 'custom' mode.
Verdict
The Vida VX2 is for someone who wants a simple electric scooter that can get them from point A to point B without a fuss, and it should also be easy enough for everyone in the family to use. Plus with its neutral design, it will not offend anyone. The V2 is for those who want more out of their electric scooter in terms of range, performance, and features, and also something that looks properly modern.
