Hero Vida VX2

The VX2 is the second electric scooter from Vida. It is available with both BaAS and conventional pricing, and it is a more affordable option in the Vida lineup. With BaAS pricing beginning from Rs 59,490 and conventional pricing beginning from Rs 99,490 (all prices ex-showroom), the Vida VX2 goes up against the lower variants of the TVS iQube, the Bajaj Chetak 3001, and the Ather Rizta S.

The VX2 is a rather compelling attempt from Vida at creating a family scooter that can do it all. The styling is modern and clean, it comes with a good set of features, along with many other thoughtful touches that will actually prove to be useful in daily conditions. It will be interesting to see how it fares against the crop of other electric scooters that have been around for so long.

The electric scooter offers a real-world range of around 100 km and also gets a Battery-as-a-Service option starting at Rs 60,000 plus usage cost. It produces 6 kW peak power and 26 Nm torque and includes Eco and Ride modes.

Hero’s electric brand Vida teases an upcoming scooter, likely to be called the VX2, ahead of its expected July 1 launch. The model is positioned as the most affordable Vida offering and is expected to feature a 2.1-2.5 kWh battery with around 100 km real-world range along with a touchscreen display and Bluetooth connectivity. It also gets LED lighting and conventional key ignition while retaining a simple commuter-focused design.
