The new BS6 emission norms came into effect in India on April 1, 2020. India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer - Hero MotoCorp has already updated all its products long back to meet the new stringent BS6 emission norms, save for the Xpulse 200T. But now, the new 2021 Hero Xpulse 200T BS6 has been finally launched in India and its price starts at Rs. 1.13 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. Here are all the details about it.

2021 Hero Xpulse 200T BS6 Price

The new updated Hero Xpulse 200T doesn't get any cosmetic changes or new features, the only changes are mechanical. Now, first of all, if we talk about the powertrain, so it gets a BS6 compliant 199.6cc, single-cylinder engine and now it's an oil-cooled motor. The BS6 Xpulse 200T also gets Hero's XSens programmed fuel-injection technology that delivers better performance and fuel-efficiency. This BS6 motor churns out 18.1 PS of power at 8500 RPM (BS4 was 18.6 PS at 8000 RPM) and 16.15 Nm of peak torque at 6500 RPM (BS4 was 17.1 Nm at 6500 RPM).

The engine of the motorcycle comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is based on a tubular diamond frame. For suspension duties, it gets 37 mm telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear. It gets 100/80-17 tyre at the front and 130/70-R17 tyre at the rear. The braking duties are performed by petal discs at both ends and it gets a single-channel ABS as an additional safety aid. Some other features include an all-digital instrument cluster loaded with a ton of information. It also gets turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.

The new Hero Xpulse 200T BS6 serves as a great motorcycle for someone who wants an affordable reliable motorcycle for urban commutes. The last recorded price of the BS4 Xpulse 200T was Rs. 1.05 lakhs (Ex-showroom) and so, the new BS6 model demands a premium of around Rs. 8,000.
