Kawasaki is all-geared up for the launch of its new Versys 650 in India. The 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 adventure cum tourer motorcycle is suspected to launch this month in the Indian market. The new bike hosts cosmetic tweaks & some new feature upgrades as compared to the current-gen Versys.

The upcoming Versys 650 has already made a debut globally. The new ADV now embraces a new front-fascia design. This design resembles the other siblings i.e. the Kawasaki Ninja 650. Not only the front is redesigned, but also the graphics and the side panels are new. New Versys also gets a 4-way adjustable bigger windscreen for enhanced ease of touring.

On the feature aspect, the old instrument cluster is now replaced by a fully-digital instrument cluster. The new TFT coloured screen displays all the rider-aiding information. There is also the availability of Bluetooth Smartphone connectivity on the new bikes.

Mechanically we anticipate that the same 649cc reliable yet powerful unit will continue to be used. This engine is a parallel-twin, liquid-cooled that produces a peak power of 66 bhp & 61 Nm of peak torque. Kawasaki uses a 6-speed constant-mesh gearbox with a slipper-assist clutch unit. The performance of Versys 650 makes it one of the desirable products in the segment as well.

Coming to the price, reports suggest that the new Versys is going to get dearer at least by Rs 40,000 - 50,000. But, there is also an opportunity for the buyers who are planning for the Versys now.
