Jeep has been developing a brand new electric compact SUV for a long time. We've already reported its first spy shots that went viral (read here). Now, a completely undisguised and production-ready unit of the car has been spied during the official TVC shoot. The new photos showcase to us what the new car from Jeep will look like and its design details.

2023 Jeep Electric SUV Design
The Jeep is owned by the FCA & PSA group which also owns the Citroen. Hence, a common modular platform same as that of the Citroen C3 has been used to design this upcoming SUV. Although, the new electric car will feature a longer body. The rumors suggest that the new car will range from 4.10-4.15 meters in length. This eCMP architecture will help sustain the cost-benefit ratio for the upcoming SUV.

Speaking of the design, the SUV looks butch and borrows its styling cues from the Jeep Renegade SUV. While the Renegade has a bigger platform and dimensions, this new SUV is set to target the C-SUV segment globally. Upfront, the design focuses on the bold body lines & curvy shoulder lines. The overall appeal of the design is butch and muscular in the typical Jeep fashion.
A large air dam at the front shall help the electric powertrain remain cool. Side profile has the new 5-spoke alloy wheels that are blacked-out and sees diamond-cut as well. The body profile from the side looks of a bigger SUV like the Jeep Compass itself. At the rear, the rectangular LED taillights with unique design make it stand out. The large spoiler and the curvy boot design help make it look bigger than its actual dimensions.

Engine & Specifications
As the new SUV is being developed with a shared platform with the Citroen, we suspect that the powertrain might also be shared. Peugeot sells 2008, DS 3 Crossbak, & Opel Makka with a 100 kWh battery pack globally. This translates that the same powertrain might feature in the upcoming Jeep electric SUV.

This 100 kWh battery pack produces a peak power of 136 hp. The combination of the powerful 50 kWh electric motor helps create a long-distance driving range. The claimed driving range for this powertrain stands at a whopping 482 km/charge. If the car features this electric setup, it will surely become one of the longest-driving range electric cars in India.
India Launch & Rivals
While the spy shots make us believe that the car is already production-ready, we feel that it will not debut globally anytime before the 2022 end or the start of 2023. This means that the India debut is bound for 2023. Upon its launch, the rivals will remain - Mahindra XUV300 electric, MG ZS EV & the Tata Nexon EV Max.
