KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Suzuki Burgman Street launched at Rs 1.02 lakhs ex-showroom
- Improves on features and torque numbers
- Rivals the Yamaha Aerox, TVS Ntorq, and others
Suzuki Burgman Street has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 1.02 lakhs with a range of new updates and add-ons. This makes it better than what it was before by a good enough margin, but is it enough? It stares directly towards the Yamaha Aerox and the TVS Ntorq as its main rivals in the segment. So, which one comes out at the top in this face-off? Let's get straight into it, but before that, make sure to join the 91wheels WhatsApp Community, specifically curated for petrolheads like us to keep up with the latest news and automotive updates.

Suzuki Burgman vs TVS Ntorq vs Yamaha Aerox: Design And Dimensions

| Burgman | Aerox | NTorq | |
| Length (in mm) | 1860 | 1980 | 1861 |
| Breadth (in mm) | 700 | 700 | 710 |
| Height (in mm) | 1440 | 1150 | 1164 |
| Weight (in kg) | 115 | 126 | 111 |
| Seat Height (in mm) | 775 | 790 | 770 |
| Wheelbase (in mm) | 1285 | 1350 | 1285 |
The Suzuki Burgman Street stands out with a taller and more upright stance compared to its rivals, making it the most spacious-feeling option here. The Yamaha Aerox 155 is the longest and heaviest, with a larger wheelbase and higher seat height, which gives it a more performance-oriented and stable character. However, a shorter seat height helps short riders to handle the scooters with ease. Meanwhile, the TVS NTorq 125 is the lightest and most compact of the three, making it easier to handle in city conditions while still offering a comparable footprint to the Burgman. As fas as looks go, its a subjective topic but personally, I like the Burgman better than the rest.
Features

Now, coming to features, each contender here has something unique to offer while sharing a lot of other features with each other as well. For example, you get an easy start system, all-around LED lighting, front disc brakes with rear drums, connected features, navigation, USB charging port, and a lot more. However, where the Burgman shines is its keyless system. The remote key fob replaces the traditional key, making the ignition process fairly easy. This makes the Burgman stand out from the other two. Yamaha Aerox stands out with its segment-only traction control system, whereas the TVS Ntorq has its shining moment with its ride modes and race lap-timer feature. One thing where the Yamaha needs to work on is its negative LCD display, which looks quite dated when compared to the coloured units on the other two rivals. Looking at everything that we have in front of us, the race is pretty tight on this one, and it all boils down to what we ultimately want, one thing over the other.

Powertrain
| Burgman | Aerox | Ntorq | |
| Engine Displacement | 124 | 155 | 124 |
| Power (PS) | 8.4 | 15 | 10.2 |
| Torque (Nm) | 10.2 | 13.9 | 10.6 |
Coming to the powertrain, the Yamaha Aerox clearly, with its bigger 155cc engine has an edge when it comes to outright performance numbers. It makes the maximum power at 15 PS with max torque at 13.9 Nm. As for the Burgman and the Ntorq, the Ntorq offers better numbers with putting out more power as well as more torque than the Burgman.

Pricing
| Burgman | Aerox | Ntorq | |
| Price | Rs. 1.02 lakhs - Rs 1.13 lakhs | Rs 1.4 lakhs | Rs 81,250 - Rs. 1.00 lakhs |
When it comes to pricing, the Yamaha Aerox is the most expensive from the lot, but since it happens to offer a higher displacement, the pricing is actually justified. If you want a more affordable option, then the TVS Ntorq offers you the path of least resistance with the only scooter here available here under Rs 1 lakh mark.
Verdict
The battle of the maxi scooters is pretty intense, but clearly without one standout winner. While all scooters have their own strengths and weaknesses, the one that's best for you is always the one that suits all your needs. Although Burgman is the latest of the lot, the other two options still hold their value quite confidently. However, if I have to pick one, since I value performance over features, I'll stick with the Aerox for extra power and torque! Tell us what would be your pick.
