Aprilia RS 440 Sports Bike India Launch Confirmed In September'23

A few weeks back, Aprilia's test bike was spied on in India near Piaggio's plant. Later on, it was discovered to be the upcoming Aprilia RS 440 sports bike. Aprilia RS 440 Launch Details

As per the reporting source, the baby RS is going to debut in the second half of 2023. It is most likely to happen around the Indian MotoGP in September. Moreover, what can be the best way to launch a sports bike if not during the first-ever GP? Additionally, the bike will also use numerous locally-made components. It will keep the pricing in control and competitive as well. This is because the RS 440 will debut in the middleweight sports bike segment. A segment that is already rich with rivals like the KTM RC 390 & Kawasaki Ninja 300.

Meanwhile, as the test mule showed us, it will look a lot similar to the RS 660. From its design to engineering, the 440 will be derived from its elder sibling. However, to make it more road-centric, Aprilia will offer it with a relaxed riding posture. Meanwhile, it will get all the bells & whistles. LED lights, colour TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, & even riding modes with traction control. Such features shall be offered as standard with it.

As Aprilia aims to focus on emerging markets like India, the engine on it will be full of potential. As per the online reports, a parallel-twin 440cc will be used on it. This engine will make peak power in the likes of 45-55 bhp. In addition to this, a 6-speed gearbox will be used. Also, the test mule was seen with USD forks & bigger disc brakes.

Speaking of its expected price, Aprilia will place it somewhere around Rs 4 lakh. However, this expected price might also come down due to the localization of parts.
