Upcoming Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 Spotted Testing Again

Royal Enfield's 750cc line-up is taking shape in public view once more. A camouflaged test mule of the upcoming Continental GT 750, expected to be badged the Continental GT-R 750, has been caught testing in Chennai, complete with its half-fairing and a twin-exhaust layout that sets it apart from the recently showcased Himalayan 750. For anyone tracking Royal Enfield's next big platform expansion, this is the clearest sign yet that the brand's new parallel-twin family is getting closer to a world-wide debut.

What Spy Shots Reveal

The Continental GT 750, as we like to call it, is seen with dual front disc brakes, a paraleel-twin engine close to 750cc. Plus, a twin-pipe setup because its a cafe-racer similar to its sibling Continental GT 650. The fairing itself tells its own story. It wraps around the front without touching the engine bay, tapering off just below the fuel tank on both sides, a classic cafe racer silhouette. Clip-on handlebars and rounded bar-end mirrors, currently sold as an accessory on the GT 650, round off the sporty riding position. Look closer at the side panels and the resemblance to the Bear 650 is hard to miss.

Royal Enfield has used numbered side panels on its cafe racers before, so this could be a nod to that heritage, though it also raises the question of how the brand plans to visually separate the standard GT from the faired GT-R. The subframe and the twin-shock suspension springs also echo the Bear 650's progressive units, a departure from the GT 650's linear springs, though this could simply be a quirk of the test mule rather than the final spec.

Engine And Other Details

The 750cc is built on the same foundation as the 650cc but will come with different states of tune for Continental and Himalayan. Power and torque figures are under wrap and will be showcased at EICMA most likely. Talking about suspension, the bike in the picture is seen with RSU forks, and it is seen with alloy wheels. Lastly, we couldn't make out about the instrument cluster in the photos, but we believe it will carry forward the analog speedometer.

When Could It Launch

Royal Enfield hasn't confirmed an official launch date yet. That said, the pattern of sightings and the Himalayan 750's recent showcase at Himalayan Basecamp point towards EICMA 2026 as the likely stage for a formal unveiling, with the two 750cc models potentially arriving together.

The Bigger Picture

Royal Enfield entering the 750cc space with both an adventure motorcycle and a cafe racer signals a serious push upmarket, building on the momentum the 650 twins have generated over the past few years. If the Continental GT-R 750 keeps the cafe racer character of its smaller sibling while adding the extra grunt and touring-friendly updates hinted at here, it could become one of the more keenly watched launches from the brand in recent memory.

For now, riders will have to wait for Royal Enfield to lift the wraps officially. Until then, expect more test mules, more spy shots, and plenty of speculation about how close this prototype is to the version that eventually reaches showrooms.
