Ather Energy, a Bengaluru based startup launched its Ather 450 electric scooter and a lot of potential buyers showed their interest in it because of its looks, performance and also the Ather grid. Now Ather energy is seeking interest to launch its experience centers in Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Pune. They are already present in Bengaluru and Chennai with their experience centers and fast-charging infrastructure called the Ather grid.
To make this possible, the company has started inviting dealers to set up experience centers for Ather by which customers can test ride and get their hands on the Ather 450. Ather is targeting all the metro cities to launch their retail outlets and experience centers in the coming months. There are a lot of potential buyers who are keen on getting their hands on the Ather 450 when it arrives in their cities.
Ather 450 has impressed a large stake of the audience because of its clean and minimalistic design, punchy performance and proper charging infrastructure. Ather 450 comes with a 2.4kWh battery pack which sits under the footrest and aids center of gravity. The motor produces 7.24 hp and class-leading 20.5 Nm of torque. Its range has been divided into 3 modes: 75 km in eco, 65 km in ride and 55 km in sport and with sport mode, you can touch 80 km/h.
It also comes equipped with some segment-first features like Reverse mode, 7.0 inch TFT touchscreen which supports navigation and fast charging of 1km/min up to 80% via Ather grid fast charger.
Intelligent electric vehicles are a new category for which the traditional retail model doesnt really work. We have spent the last couple of years pioneering a new model in Chennai and Bengaluru, which is focused on experience. We are now looking for dealers and partners to expand across the country in a short period of time. Ather Energy will establish the charging stations prior to the delivery of vehicles. Ather gives 6 months of free fast-charging to owners from the grid network. They also claim to have atleast one fast charger in the radius of 4km around you - this is currently true for Bangalore and Chennai. Ather 450 costs 1,13,715 Rs on road in Bengaluru and Rs 1,22,224 on road in Chennai. Both the prices are on-road including FAME deductions and other perks.
