Benelli's Parent Company QJ Motors 550cc Sports bike Breaks Cover- Rivals Honda CB500R

QJ Motors 550cc sports bike has made its global debut. The Honda CB500R rival is based on a parallel-twin engine from the TRK 502 adventure motorcycle.

The parent company of Benelli has released the picture of its upcoming QJ Motors 550cc sports bike. The jaw-dropping design is no less than the flagship Italian sports bikes. The new motorcycle has still not been finalized with a name though.

Based on the liquid-cooled, 554cc parallel-twin engine from the Benelli TRK 502, the new bike produces a peak power of 47.5 hp and 46 Nm of torque. This power is transferred to the rear while via chain-drive system. A 6-speed gearbox with slip-assist clutch is used for transmission purpose. The upcoming sports bike has been made A2 emission norms complaint in order to be launched in Europe. The official unveil is not far away and we suspect the pricing will be in competition of the Honda CB500R sports-tourer bike.

Design-wise, a radical but aggressive front end makes it an eye candy to look at. The twin-pod sharp LED headlights, with a rather long fairing design, give it a big bike feel. Also, the design team has added front winglets; the purpose of which is still undisclosed. An extensive test ride in the coming time can only clear the doubts about the working of these winglets.

The twin-seat setup is pure sports bike stance. While the pillion will not be very comfortable; the rider might appreciate the little less dedicated posture. The handlebar seems to be a bit upright and so do the footpegs to provide a sports-tourer stance. Also, the single-sided swingarm looks dashing along with the rear alloy wheel which resembles some of the Italian sports motorcycles.

As we only have the front photos for now; the complete reveal of the motorcycle seems not far away. Sadly, this motorcycle is not coming to India any time soon. Although, Benelli is working on its expansion real hard with new bikes such as the TRK 702. We hope QJ Motors might also enter the Indian market soon with such potent-filled bikes as rebadged Benelli's.
