Benelli TRK 702 Breaks Cover, Launching In India Soon - Read Details Here

Benelli TRK 702 adventure motorcycle surfaces. The new motorcycle resembles the TRK800 with a smaller engine & is expected to launch in India soon.

Benelli motorcycles are well known for their proportionate segment division and value for money nature. Expanding the portfolio, a new Benelli TRK 702 has surfaced via a type-approval document. The new adventure motorcycle will be based on the big Benelli TRK 800. Although placed a segment above the Benelli TRK 502, this will be a slim and powerful motorcycle.

The recent out details have revealed that the new upcoming TRK 702 is more or less a TRK 800. While the 800 gets a bigger engine, the 702 will get a small engine with revised mechanicals. Anticipation is that it will feature a 693cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine which will produce a peak power of 69.73 hp and 61 Nm of peak torque. To adjust the new engine, a revised trellis frame, redesigned swingarm, and necessary chassis adjustments will be made.

Overall, Benelli plans to place this in between the 502 and 800. While the 502 is a bulky motorcycle; the TRK 702 will weigh 220 kg. According to the segment, the power figures and weight proportions are right. Because after the launch in global markets, it'll directly compete with Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, Kawasaki Versys 650, and the newly launched Triumph Tiger Sport 660.

Moreover, Benelli will introduce the 702 in two variants. One will be off-road focused and the other one will be more road-focused. The first version will be suspected to get 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked tubeless tyres; while the latter will get 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends.

Once Benelli TRK 702 makes its official debut globally, we expect the launch will be around the end of this year. As soon as it gets launched internationally, Benelli will launch the TRK 702 in India as well.
