Great Wall Motors is preparing to make a debut in the Indian market for a long time and is now all set to introduce the Haval Dargo SUV in the Indian market. The Chinese carmaker recently applied for the trademark for the name Haval Dargo in India. The brand also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government in May 2020. Under this agreement, the Chinese carmaker promised to make an investment of USD 1 million in India. Here are all the details that you would want to know about the upcoming Haval Dargo. As far reports are to be believed, the brand is currently considering importing the new cars via CKD (completely knocked-down kits) and CBU (completely built units) route into the country. The brand's official website went live in June 2021 while a number of trademark applications have been filed in India by Haval. The Haval Dargo stands for Dare to go as per the Chinese carmaker.

Speaking of the design, the Haval Dargo boasts a rugged exterior styling with a bold front fascia largely dominated by a large trapezoidal grille and a muscular front bumper. The car also gets circular headlights while you will definitely not miss the body cladding. On the features front, the SUV will offer all the modern features and equipment expected at this price point.
In the global markets, the car gets a 1.5-L turbo petrol engine and a 2.0-L turbo petrol engine that deliver 169 bhp and 211 bhp respectively. Both these engines come mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox and can be had with FWD and AWD drivetrains. More details however are yet to be known.
