Honda Activa e: , QC1 Official Accessories Revealed
Honda has released a catalog of 12 accessories for its electric scooter lineup. The accessory prices range from Rs 184 for a helmet wire lock to Rs 2,450 for the frunk. Notably, the frunk is exclusively available for the Honda Activa e:, while a charger bag (Rs 273) is specific to the QC1. Other accessories, including a license plate case (Rs 95),half-face helmet (Rs 1,189), full-face helmet (Rs 1,354), seat cover (Rs 466), handlebar grip cover (Rs 195), floor mat (Rs 433), mirror covers (Rs 326), and sari step (Rs 918), are compatible with both electric scooter models.

The Honda Activa e: comes with a selection of two variants where the regular trim is priced at Rs. 1.17 lakhs ex-showroom, and the RoadSync variant comes at a cost of Rs. 1,51,600 ex-showroom, the latter adding the connected features. The notable highlight of the Activa e: is the swappable battery system and you have no other option to charge it at your home. You will have to reach the swapping stations to swap the batteries, so it is still limited to just three cities, Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai as of now. Energy is supplied by two 1.5kWh swappable batteries, totaling 3kWh, which enable a claimed range of 102 kilometers on a full charge. These batteries are specifically engineered to integrate with Honda's planned battery-swapping network, which the company aims to establish throughout India in the coming years
If you wish to charge your scooter at home, the QC1 is your bet as it comes with a charger that you can use for at-home charging. The QC1 is positioned as the more budget-friendly option, featuring a 1.5 kWh fixed battery that provides a claimed range of 80 kilometers per charge. Charging the battery from 0 to 80 percent takes about 4.5 hours, with a full charge requiring roughly 6.5 hours. The QC1 is equipped with a 5-inch LCD display, a USB Type-C charging port for added convenience, and a generous 26 liters of under-seat storage
Verdict
The foray of Honda into the electric two wheeler segment with the Activa was a long time coming, but the limitation of it with the swappable system remains its biggest roadbloack to initial market penetration. As we have seen that battery swaps have not gone well with the Indian buyers, Honda Activa moniker is the best bet for it to tatste success. However, you still have the QC1 if you wish to keep things under your control, but with a little compromise on the range. as for the accessories, they are well-priced and highligh functional, and can add to your overall ride convenience.
