Honda CBR150R Launch In India Soon? Patent Filed

The Honda CBR150R is one of the most famous entry-level performance-oriented bikes to be sold in the Indian market by Honda and is now all set to make a comeback in the Indian market after being discontinued in 2017. The Japanese bikemaker recently filed a patent application for the name - CBR150R in India, hence hinting towards a launch soon. Here are all the details that we know so far about the Honda CBR150R launch in India.

For starters, the new CBR150R is expected to offer an aggressive and sporty design that will give it a strong road presence. In addition to this, in the international markets, the bike gets a sharp nose, prominent body panels, sporty rear-view mirrors, and upswept exhaust. Furthermore, the CBR150R on the other hand is also offered with features like dual ELD headlamps, compact windscreen, ABS, driving modes, etc.

Having said this, the Honda CBR150R is expected to feature golden USD forks at the front while the rear may get an adjustable mono-shock suspension setup. In the Indonesian markets, the bike is available in six colour options while the Malaysian markets get only two colour options. While we might not get as many options in India, it is expected that the brand will be offering new colour options to Indian buyers. A dual raised seat with a forward-leaning riding stance setup too will be offered with the new iteration of the bike.

In the global markets, the new CBR150R is offered with a 149.2 cc petrol engine that boast a peak power and torque output of 17.1 ps and 14.4 Nm respectively. This engine comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Once launched in India, the bike will take on the rivals like the Yamaha R15 V4 and is likely to be offered with assist and slipper clutch.
