The Hyundai Terracan was launched in the Indian market in 2004 and was offered as a spacious and powerful SUV. While the car had a lot to offer, unfortunately, it was launched in the country when the buyers were not ready for a product like this and due to the poor sales figures, the Terracan was soon taken off the shelves. Starting with the exterior design first, the Hyundai Terracan had a bold and elegant design language. It lacked any aggressive styling elements and had a subtle side profile. However, the car looked huge and had an impressive road presence, all thanks to its upright stance, wide-body, and large wheel arches.

The cabin of the Terracan was a nice and spacious place to be in. The car was available with a 7-seat layout and there was ample amount of space in all the three rows. The quality of the materials used inside the cabin was great and overall, the in-cabin experience offered by the Terracan was one of the best in the segment.

Powering the Hyundai Terracan was a massive 2.9-L CRDi engine that churned out 148 bhp and 343 Nm of peak torque. This engine was mated to a manual transmission and had an AWD to further boost the off-roading capabilities. In addition to this, the Terracan also featured a well-built body and a reinforced chassis which used high strength steel.
