Bajaj Auto has finally launched the new 35 series of its popular EV two-wheeler, Bajaj Chetak Electric in India. The company has announced the Chetak 3501, and 3502 models today. While the former is priced at Rs. 1.27 lakh, the latter costs Rs. 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The major highlights of the newly launched versions are a new platform, design and more features. New Bajaj Chetak Design
Despite being based on the new platform, the original Chetak design has been retained by the new versions of the electric scooter. One noticeable or better thing with the new Chetak is an improved under-seat storage space. The company has announced various models of the new Chetak ranging from base to premium.
Bajaj Chetak 3501 and 3502 Powertrain
Both the two models- 3501 and 3502 are powered by a 3.5 kWh battery pack, placed at the floorboard area. The powertrain setup on offer enables a range of 153 km on a solitary charge and a top speed of 73 kmph. As for the charging time, the Chetak 3502 (variant with the quick charge function) can be topped up from 0-80 per cent in just 3 hours and 25 minutes.
New Bajaj Chetak: Features
The new Bajaj Chetak electric scooter offers a big seat that has better cushioning which provides the best-in-class comfort Other features on offer with the new Chetak include full map navigation, music player, speed lock setting, remote immobilization and document storage. You also get features such as a colour TFT display, turn-by-turn navigation and an intuitive interface. Apart from this, the new frame has resulted in a bigger boot space of 35 litres.
New Bajaj Chetak Electric: Price
The newly launched versions- Chetak 3501, 3502 and 3503. The 3501 and 3502 have been launched at an attractive price point of Rs. 1.27 lakh and 1.20 lakh respectively. The price for the Chetak 3503 or the base variant hasn't come out yet. We will update you as the pricing for the base model will be released.
