New Yezdi Roadster Teased; Details

Sometime last month, there were three motorcycles that were spotted testing. From what we can see, it seems as if there will be different versions of the Roadster, one with a single seat and the other with a twin seat setup. The two test bikes were also seen with a completely new rear-section with a chopped rear fender, and a tyre-hugger mudguard on which the tail lamp is also mounted, while the turn indicators are mounted on the fender. It is possible that the new Roadster may get a completely redesigned rear section.

From the teaser, the bike gets a familiar-looking tail lamp, but with a reflector mounted on the pillion backrest. The headlamp will also be borrowed from the updated Adventure that was launched not too long ago. This is given Yezdi's official comment on making the twin-barrel headlamp an official identity across its lineup.
Since the Adventure moved to the Gen 2 Alpha platform, it is highly likely that the Roadster also receives it. The 334cc, liquid-cooled unit produces 29.2bhp and 29.56Nm of torque, and it is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. However, we can expect these figures to be different, depending on the tuning of the Roadster to suit its character.

We can expect the features to remain as they are, which means the round digital cluster will be carried over, along with dual-channel ABS, a slipper clutch, and a USB C-type port. More shall be known soon, and we can expect a teaser on the new Scrambler as well.

Verdict
The Yezdi Roadster looks set to move into the next generation, and this will make things interesting in the segment it competes in. That said, there is another Yezdi name that is hugely awaited, and this could be an outside chance for the Roadking's revival as well.
