OnePlus Electric Vehicles to Launch Soon - Trademark Registered

Rising fuel costs and increasing pollution levels are not only pushing the governments to push more electric vehicles on the roads, but the brands to are now focussing on introducing new and innovative products as the emissions norms are now getting more stringent day by day. In addition to this, electric vehicles are also enjoying a strong demand because of the lucrative subsidy offers like FAME II.

Having said this, we have seen a number of brands launching new electric two-wheelers and four-wheelers in the market. OnePlus India too is all set to enter the world of electric mobility and has recently a trademark application for OnePlus Life driverless cars (autonomous); Cars; self-balancing scooters; self-balancing boards; remote control vehicles, other than toys; automobile tires; civilian drones; boats; safety seats for children, for vehicles; and self-balancing electric unicycles. OnePlus is one of the most successful brands here in India and is known to offer extremely capable and well-built devices at VFM pricing. The brand's latest move indicates that we may soon launch of OnePlus Electric vehicles in the country. To start with, it is expected that the brand will be launching a number of electric two-wheelers in the country that will not only offer great built quality but in addition to this will also boast a long list of interesting features and a funky design language.

OnePlus had earlier revealed the OnePlus Wrap car and had claimed that the car offers a long list of features like gesture support for driving, a 460 km range on a single charge and a 0-100 kmph time of just 3 secs. However, the brand had brushed it aside by claiming it to be an April fool prank shortly after making the website live. The OnePlus Wrap car was also said to offer autonomous driving and extremely fast charging that will help the car cover around 435 km after just 20 minutes of charge.

Earlier, there were many reports that claimed that Realme is also working on entering the electric mobility space. While there is no official confirmation from the rand yet, it is believed that Realme is working on developing a new electric vehicle. It is worth noting the fact that both the brands, OnePlus and Realme are owned by the same Chinese parent company - BBK Electronics. It will however be interesting to see how both these brands enter the EV space in India.
