The Orxa Mantis electric bike has been launched and is priced at Rs 3.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), and is offered in a single variant. The purchase includes a standard 1.3kW charger. Interestingly, the main talking point happens to be it's range

1. Features: Connected Tech And More

The Orxa Mantis is equipped with a range of features, including a 5-inch TFT instrument console that supports Bluetooth connectivity and navigation through a dedicated app. It provides features such as phone notifications and ride analytics directly on the console. Furthermore, The e-bike also features all-LED lighting, including twin projector LED headlights, regenerative braking, a side stand sensor for safety, and ride-by-wire technology developed in-house. Notably, the Orxa Mantis runs on a Linux-based Orxa operating system, adding a technological aspect to its overall functionality.

2. A Whopping 221 Km Range!

The Orxa Mantis features a non-removable IP67-rated 8.9kWh battery, offering an estimated IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) claimed range of 221km. Charging the battery from 0-80% using the standard 1.3kW charger requires 5 hours. Alternatively, with the 'Blitz' 3.3kW charger, the charging time is reduced to 2 hours and 30 minutes. Meanwhile, both chargers require a 15A socket for operation.

3. Power, Torque, And More

The Orxa Mantis is driven by a liquid-cooled motor, delivering a peak power output of 20.5kW and a maximum torque of 93Nm. The electric bike boasts a claimed top speed of 135kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 8.9 seconds.

4. Underpinnings

The Orxa Mantis features an all-aluminum aerospace-grade alloy frame and subframe, a notable segment-first. Its suspension system comprises a 41mm telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock with preload adjustability at the rear. The braking system includes a 320mm front disc with a four-piston radial caliper and a 230mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper and single-channel ABS.

5. Price

The Orxa Mantis, priced at Rs 3,60,000 (ex-showroom Bengaluru, including the standard 1.3kW charger), is now available for bookings. Moreover, the initial booking amount for the first 1,000 customers is Rs 10,000, and for subsequent customers, it is Rs 25,000.
