1 - Royal Enfield Hunter 350

The most popular bike of 2022 undoubtedly. The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 breaks all the notions related to the brand. Known for retro bikes mainly; Hunter showcased the capabilities of a short-wheelbase roadster to rivals. RE launched it for Rs 1.50 - 1.69 lakh ex-showroom. It is targeted towards a young audience that prefers a nimble & agile bike for daily commutes. It is based on the J-platform & performs decently with its reliable & torquey 350cc engine.

2 - TVS Ronin 225

TVS attempted to take over the middle-weight roadster category with its Ronin 225. It came all out of the blue in the market. With its radical looks, superb build quality, & tech-rich package; Ronin made sure that it created enough buzz. We test rode it in Goa & the bike really outperformed our expectations. It is available on sale for Rs 1.49 - 1.69 lakh ex-showroom pan India.

3 - Bajaj Pulsar N160

Bajaj made sure this year that it revamp its Pulsar brand confidently. Hence, the 'N' series was introduced this year. The Pulsar N160 changed the whole image of the brand into a premium commuter bike. It features a revolutionary design with loads of features like LED projector headlights & dual-channel ABS as well. Bajaj has priced it between Rs 1.23 - 1.30 lakh. We test-rode the bike in Pune & its performance as well as built quality left us amazed. 4 - KTM RC 390

Adding to the list is the Austrian brand KTM which launched its latest RC 390. The RC brand is well-known and loved among sports bike enthusiasts in India. However, KTM decided to update its hooligan sports bike into a more mature and tech-laden product this year, Hence, the 2022 iteration was launched for Rs 2.78 - 3.16 lakh. The new bike gets LED lights, a digital TFT console, Bluetooth connectivity, riding modes, adjustable suspension, etc. The new RC continues using the tried & tested 372cc engine. Additionally, it has now become more refined and linear in terms of power delivery.

5 - Ultraviolette F77

Last but not the least, an EV adds to the list of top 5 motorcycles launched in 2022. The Ultraviolette F77 was one of the most anticipated EV launches of this year. However, being a performance bike; it has made its place on our list. Being the first product from the company, F77 took its own sweet time before launching into the market. It is priced at Rs 3.80 - 5.50 lakh ex-showroom. It is available in two variants and a limited version as well. All thanks to its battery pack, the F77 can do up to 206 km/charge and also attain a top speed of up to 152 kmph (claimed).
