To Promote EV Sales, Govt. Of India Opens One-Stop EV Website

The newly designed EV website addressed - www.ev.delhi.gov.in will provide information about upcoming EVs, as well locations of nearby EV charging stations.

EV productions have been ramping up, with quite the gusto. The rise in demand would paint just half the picture, the number of players has also increased in the market. So, if you wanted to start your EV journey with electric two-wheelers per se, chances are youd be perplexed at the beginning.

To address this issue, the Delhi government has launched a dedicated website for all things on EVs. This website will guide you, by giving a complete picture of the EV market. The website will contain all kinds of information, starting from EV models available in the market to locations of charging facilities around your locality. The announcement was made by Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot at its launch event. He pointed out how the emphasis has been kept to keep the platform user-friendly, interactive, and resourceful to the public.

This new website will be able to provide all required information to potential EV consumers and keep up to date with sales and daily growing charging infrastructure data too," Gahlot said.

Currently, Delhi has 377 charging points at 170 locations and furthermore are getting installed. The same will be updated on the application as well. Theres also a unique feature called EV Calculator. This feature will help give an estimate of how much fuel you saved when you ride your electric two-wheelers. It enables the consumers to make a rational choice and identify the cost reduction that an EV can provide," Gahlot said.

As per another analysis, EV sales have with as much as 50,866 units sold in December, which represented a month-on-month rise of 21% from 42,055 vehicles that were sold in November, with a year-on-year gain of 240%.
