Ultraviolette Tesseract Launch Delayed, Now Set To Launch In January 2027

One of the most anticipated electric scooters, the Ultraviolette Tesseract, which was supposed to launch this year, will now launch in January 2027. Ultraviolette recently announced that the brands first electric scooter has been delayed to 2027, as the company is making several hardware and mechanical changes to the scooter. The Tesseract was initially scheduled to launch in Q1 2026, then the timeline was pushed to Q2 2026, and now to Q1 2027. Ultraviolette Tesseract New Updates

Recently, Ultraviolette announced that they took their scooter to several cities to gather customer feedback. Based on this input, they decided to implement several changes to better suit Indian conditions. The company is making improvements to the seat to enhance comfort; it will now be wider and feature improved cushioning for both the rider and pillion. Additionally, Ultraviolette is redesigning the footrest area to make it more spacious.
Additionally, the brand is now developing the scooter with a new 100V architecture. With this, the scooter will offer enhanced performance, improved thermal efficiency, higher power, and support for fast charging with up to three times more power. The battery management system will also be a newly developed unit, which will be significantly smaller and lighter by 2.5 kg compared to the brand's X-47 electric motorcycle.

The scooter will be equipped with 14-inch wheels, a long suspension travel to take on bad roads, and offer a comfortable ride quality. Moreover, it will also get a radar-based safety system and alerts to make every ride safe. On the features front, it will get dual-channel ABS, a digital cluster with inbuilt navigation support, hill hold assist, radar-based safety system and alerts, wireless charging, all-LED lighting, park assist, traction modes, 4 levels of regenerative braking, among others.

The Tesseract will be available with three battery pack options: 3.5 kWh, 5 kWh, and 6 kWh, offering a peak output of 15 kW and a claimed range of 162 km, 220 km, and 261 km, respectively. The prices of the upcoming Ultraviolette Tesseract will start at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
