A Step Toward Greener Mobility

VinFast VF6

The collaboration between VinFast and BatX Energies aims to build a complete battery lifecycle system. BatX will handle the recycling and repurposing of high-voltage batteries used in VinFast's manufacturing and after-sales services. By recovering valuable materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel, the process reduces the need for mining, promotes resource reuse, and lowers the environmental footprint of EV production.

This partnership aligns with India's growing EV market, offering solutions tailored to local needs. It emphasizes sustainability by ensuring batteries are managed responsibly from production to end-of-life, creating a cleaner and more efficient EV ecosystem.

Commitment to a Circular Economy

VinFast VF7

VinFast and BatX are working together to support India's shift to sustainable energy. Their joint efforts focus on recycling batteries and exploring second-life uses, such as energy storage, while ensuring traceable and responsible material sourcing. This approach strengthens Indias role in the global circular economy, where resources are reused rather than discarded.

The partnership also sets the stage for future innovations, including urban mining and advanced material recovery, helping both India and Vietnam lead in sustainable practices.

VinFast Leadership Perspectives

Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, emphasized the importance of this collaboration: "Our work with BatX Energies is a big step toward a sustainable battery ecosystem in India. At VinFast, we believe in protecting the environment throughout a vehicle's lifecycle. This partnership helps us use resources wisely and supports Indias green goals."

Utkarsh Singh, CEO of BatX Energies, added: "Partnering with VinFast shows our shared vision for sustainable innovation. By creating solutions for EV battery recycling, we are building a system that grows with the industry and makes a lasting positive impact on the environment."

VinFast's Growing Presence in India

VinFast is expanding its footprint in India with a USD 500 million investment in a manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, set to start operations in mid-2025. The company is also preparing to launch its premium electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7, before the 2025 festive season. To ensure a seamless customer experience, VinFast has formed partnerships for roadside assistance, after-sales support, and charging infrastructure.
