Should I buy the NTORQ 125?
The TVS Ntorq 125 is meant for young buyers looking for sporty looks & punchy performance. It has an aggressive design and comfy riding posture. It offers agile handling but a stiffer ride too. The XP version is loaded with the best features for this segment. These include riding modes and Bluetooth. But, it is not very smooth and relaxing to drive like the rival Honda Dio 125. We recommend it to those who want a sporty scooter with a funky design.
- The design of Ntorq looks sharp & futuristic. It is designed to appeal to young buyers who love sporty design & aggressive looks. The front design looks mean and enhances the on-road presence of it. LED lights and alloy wheels, altogether provide a premium outlook to the scooter.
- TVS is known for better build quality and the Ntorq is no different. Overall build quality of is very good. The plastic panels used are of rich quality and give a long-lasting feel to the user. However, there are a few panels and switches that do not match the overall fit & finish.

- The engine of Ntorq is punch-packed. It generates rich low-end torque, thus making it easy to ride inside the city even with a pillion. Moreover, if you opt for the Race XP or XT version, those generate 0.5 bhp more than the standard Ntorq. These variants also have a better top speed of 98 kmph (claimed) while the other variants offer 85 kmph (claimed). Out on the highway, the rider can easily cruise the scooter between 65-75 kmph.
- The fuel economy of Ntorq is moderate. It is neither great nor bad. In our tests, the scooter retired an average fuel economy of 42 kmpl. Point to be noted, the testing was done only with the rider and no pillion.
NTORQ 125 engine specifications:
| Transmission | Automatic |
| Mileage | 41-48.5 |
| Engine | 124.8 cc |
- Ntorq has a very well-designed riding triangle. The rider remains comfortable for long hours while riding it. The handlebar is upright while the large single seat offers good cushioning. Additionally, the big footboard area offers good leg space to the rider. Moreover, the legs remain comfortable even during making tight U-turns.
- In terms of features, Ntorq leads its segment. The top-spec variant is the Race XP. It has ride modes, Bluetooth, disc brakes, LED lights, and more. These features make it well equipped and add to the rider's convenience.
- The ride quality of Ntorq is neutral. Due to its sporty setting, the suspension has been tuned towards the stiffer side. Therefore, the sharp bumps & undulations are felt on the handlebar and the spine of the rider. But, on good tarmac, the Ntorq become very fun to ride. Taking sharp corners at a good speed is confident on it due to the stiffer suspension.
- With stiffer suspension and a low centre of gravity, Ntorq is a fun-to-ride scooter. The handling of it is very sorted and one can point & shoot the scooter anywhere. Switching lanes, taking bends and curves, and making sharp U-turns; it offers everything with ease. Handling of Ntorq is its selling point and should appeal to fast riders.
