Latest On Avera Retrosa
Last Updated on 8th May'23: One of the newest players in the electric scooter category, the Avera Retrosa is a neo-retro scooter seeking design inspiration from the Italian scooters from the bygone era. The Indian market currently gets Avera Retrosa in a single variant, with two colour options on offer.
Avera Retrosa Design & Features: The Avera Retrosa is one of those scooters which has adopted the trend of neo-retro scooters. The overall look of the Retrosa is inspired by the old-generation scooters, as evident in its curvy-looking body panels. However, the Retrosa shows its modern side with new-age features like an all-LED headlamp and tail lamp. The scooter also comes with a chrome garnish around the front headlamp for an authentic look. The front apron of the scooter has LED turn indicators mounted on the lower edges.
For a classic look, the Avera Retrosa also comes with more chrome garnish for the handlebar end grips. The handlebar cowl houses the fully-digital instrument console, which shows basic information like vehicle speed and remaining range. The scooter rides on 12-inch fully-covered wheels, with the rear wheel housing a hub-mounted motor. The retro look of the scooter is further seen in the tan-coloured seat, which features a ribbed pattern.
At the back, the Avera Retrosa has a compact tail lamp cluster with an LED tail lamp in the middle and clear lens LED turn indicators to its sides. Above the tail lamp cluster, the Retrosa gets a large blacked-out aluminium pillion grab rail. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels shod with 90/90-12 tyres at both ends.
Avera Retrosa Colours: The Avera Retrosa is available in India with only two colour options to choose from – white and green. While the white colour option has a black seat, the green has a more premium-looking tan-coloured seat.
Avera Retrosa Battery & Motor: The Avera Retrosa sources its power from a hub-mounted 3 kW electric motor, which is powerful enough to give the Retrosa a top speed of 72 kmph. The scooter also gets a 3.4 kWh portable battery, which provides a maximum riding range of 145 km, provided it is ridden in the Eco mode. The battery takes 3-4 hours for a full charge using the standard AC charger and 1-2 hours using an AC fast charger.
Avera Retrosa Rivals: The Avera Retrosa has been priced at Rs 88,900, with it competing against entry-level electric scooters like PureEV ePluto 7G, Hero Optima and Ola S1 Air.
