Should I buy the Xtreme 160R 4V?
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is one of the most well-equipped bikes in its segment. The Xtreme 160R 4V has an aggressive design. It appeals to young buyers. It is loaded with the latest features like LED lights, an LCD console, Bluetooth, and more. Its engine performance is very refined and the suspension is also very comfortable. However, its pillion seat is not very comfortable. We recommend it to customers looking for a fun-to-ride bike.
- Styling of the Xtreme 160R 4V is based on the standard Xtreme model. However, its sharp panels, LED lights, and USD forks make it appear like a bigger bike on the road.
- The quality of materials used on it are premium. Also, the fit and finish is well taken care of. Hero has made sure that there are no panel gaps on it and no rattling even after riding it hard.
- The rider seat provides excellent cushioning. The upright handlebar and slightly rear set footpegs ensure a committed riding position. However, the pillion seat is set high. It can feel uncomfortable for shorter passengers.

- With the new 4-valve system and oil cooler, the 160cc engine of the Xtreme is now more refined. The top-end performance has also improved from the standard model. Also, there is ample punch at low revs to use it in higher gear within the city.
- The revised gearing and ECU remap has also improved its fuel efficiency. The bike can easily deliver more than 35 kmpl within the city.
- The braking system on it is still moderate. Despite disc brakes on both ends, the brake fade is evident. If you’re riding it downhill continuously, be careful of the brake fade.

- The front suspension is now upgraded with USD forks. Also, the adjustable rear monoshock helps in a very comfortable ride quality. Even with a pillion, it remains confident around the corners. The high speed stability is also good on it.
- Feature-wise, the Xtreme 160R 4V is one of the most loaded bikes in its segment. It gets LED lights, LCD screen with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and more. All these features coupled with the SUD front forks make it a fully-loaded bike.
