Latest Updates on Bolero Neo
The 2025 Mahindra Bolero Neo facelift is launched in India with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs 8.49 lakh, making it a more competitive choice in the rugged sub-4-metre SUV segment. The updated Bolero Neo gets a new front grille with horizontal accents, refreshed bumpers, and new 16-inch alloy wheels, alongside additional monotone and dual-tone paint options that enhance its visual appeal. Inside, the SUV offers upgraded interiors with modern touches while retaining the 1.5-litre mHawk 100 diesel engine and manual transmission, keeping its traditional rugged character intact.
Mahindra launches the Bolero Bold Edition and Bolero Neo Bold Edition in India as special versions with enhanced cosmetic features and accessories. The Bold Edition package adds dark chrome-themed exterior elements, sporty black bumpers, fog light surrounds, black roof rails and a rear-view camera (on Bolero Neo), giving both SUVs a more premium and rugged look without changing their mechanical setup. Prices for the Bold Edition start from around Rs 10.02 lakh for the Bolero variants and Rs 11.90 lakh for the Bolero Neo Bold Edition (ex-showroom), making these updated editions available across select trims.
The Mahindra Bolero Neo becomes more expensive with a price hike of up to ?33,300 across select variants effective January 2024. The N8 variant sees the highest increase (Rs 33,300), while the N4 rises by Rs 25,300 and the N10 goes up by Rs 10,000; the top-end N10(O) remains unchanged. Bolero Neo continues with its 1.5-litre diesel engine and manual transmission, and the price revision reflects broader cost adjustments in Mahindra’s SUV lineup.
The Mahindra Bolero Neo is tested under the latest Global NCAP crash test protocols and scores a disappointing 1-star rating for both adult and child occupant protection. The SUV’s structure shows instability in frontal impact, with weak chest and foot protection for the driver, lack of side head protection, and no seat belt reminder (SBR) systems, contributing to its low score. The test also highlights absence of critical safety elements like passenger airbag deactivation switch and proper three-point belts in all positions, raising concerns about overall occupant safety despite standard dual airbags and ABS with EBD.
