Bolder, Boxier, And More Sophisticated

Although the test mule was fully wrapped in heavy camouflage but of course, the silhouette screams a Bolero DNA. At first glance, you'll notice the usual squared-off lines and flat rear design from the predecessor. While the other elements look new. At the front, the round LED headlamps appear new, while the side profile suggests flush door handles, and new and larger alloys are available on the test mule. These upgrades indicate a more premium version, which might be for urban buyers.

Looking at the rear of the test mule, you can make out, the taillamps look vertically stacked and the upright right tailgate might accommodate the spare wheel. Notably, it is expected to ride on Mahindra's upcoming NFA (New Flexible Architecture), which will serve as the base for a wide range of powertrains, including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and even full-electric versions.
What To Expect?

While the powertrain details remain under wraps, the new-gen Bolero is expected to offer Mahindra's updated diesel unit. Moreover, Mahindra could also offer a petrol hybrid engine with this. However, going by the trend, we can also expect an EV version of this SUV. In terms of features, we can expect touchscreen infotainment, digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, along with updated interiors.
