Honda Dio is a 125cc sporty scooter by the Japanese 2 wheeler maker in India. Honda has updated the Dio with new features and an OBD 2B compliant engine. This scooter offers a perfect blend of sporty aesthetics and reliable engine performance. With the 2025 update, the scooter has become more feature-loaded and slightly more efficient. Last Updated On 21st Apr'25: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2025 Honda Dio 125 with an OBD 2B compliant engine. The new Honda Dio features a 4.2-inch instrument console, H Smart technology, Bluetooth connectivity, and several other features. The 2025 variant is available in two options: DLX and H-Smart, priced at Rs 96,749 and Rs 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2025 Honda Dio at Rs 74,930 (ex-showroom). The 2025 version is launched with an OBD2B-compliant engine. Additionally, it gets a new 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster and Type-C charging port. The 2025 Honda Dio 110 comes in two variants, STD & DLX. The STD variant is priced at Rs 74,930 and the DLX is priced at Rs 85,648 (ex-showroom).

The Honda Dio has a stylish design for a scooter. It boasts a dynamic posture and an aggressive design that give it a striking appearance. The Dio has a dynamic look and a sporting touch to its design. The scooter features more angular body shapes that give it a trendy appearance. It is available in two different variants- standard and deluxe. The Honda Dio is particularly well-liked by young people, and its appeal is mostly due to the way it appears. The Dio has matured with the BS6 upgrade and now seems even better than before. Seven distinct colour options are offered for the Honda Dio BS6. They are Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic. Sports Red, Candy Jazzy Blue, Vibrant Orange, and Matte Sangria Red Metallic.
Apart from the difference in colour, both the variants have a redesigned headlamp, position lamp and tail lamp. The new headlamp is ultra-stylish and comes equipped with an LED that gives good illumination for better visibility at night. In addition to this, the scooter gets funky graphics that run across the sides and the front. It also has carbon fibre-like elements which make it look attractive. At the rear, the Dio gets a cool and edgy looking split grab rail. The scooter also has a stylish muffler protector that protects the feet from feeling the heat. Last but not the least, the seat of the Dio is comfortable and has a premium feel to it.

In comparison to its competitors, the scooter has a 160 mm ground clearance, which is a respectable amount. The new Honda Dio BS6 is a gearless scooter with a kerb weight of 105 kg and a fuel tank size of 5.3 litres.

The 109.51cc fan-cooled, 4 Stroke, SI engine that powers the Honda Dio complies with BS6, and it is coupled to a clutch-type automatic gearbox. The motor produces 7.65 horsepower of power and 9 Nm of torque. The motor has good beginning acceleration and gives passable performance for city commuting. The Dio, like every other 110cc scooter in its class, does not have a particularly strong top-end performance. The engine does, however, achieve a high speed of about 83 kmph, however it takes a long time to get there from the 70 kmph point. The car's high-speed stability is also subpar.
Summary
The Honda Dio offers good performance with a great pick-up. The scooter is also quite fuel-efficient and it delivers around 48-53 kmpl mileage in real-world riding conditions.

The Dio also gets tubeless tyres in the front and rear. The front tyre is sized 90/90-12 54J, whereas, the rear tyre is of the size 90/100-10 53J. Tyres of these sizes are known for providing good resistance against aquaplaning and should ensure a good amount of grip on bad sections of the road.
On the features front, ACG quiet starting, side stand engine inhibitor, external fuel filler cap, dual function switch combining seat and fuel lid opener, front pocket, and a new DC LED headlight are additional highlights for the new Dio. It's interesting to note that it also keeps the completely digital instrument cluster with additional data like fuel range, average fuel efficiency, and real-time fuel efficiency.

The Honda Dio packs in decent hardware and offers a good ride quality. The Dio is also quite feature-loaded.

- The Dio 125 is powered by a 123.92cc air-cooled engine producing 8.3 PS of power and 10.5 Nm of peak torque. This engine is now OBD-2B compliant to meet the latest emission standards. The new engine generates slightly more power and torque than the previous model.

- The 2025 Honda Dio 125 continues to get the same mechanicals and hardware setup. It continues to ride on 90/90 12-inch front and 90/100 10-inch rear tyre. The braking duties are handled by front disc and rear drum brakes with combi braking system. Meanwhile, the base variant gets drum brakes on both ends.
- The suspension setup consists of telescopic front forks and an adjustable single spring shock absorber at the rear. This configuration provides a comfortable ride by absorbing bumps during city rides. It remains stable, allowing you to ride the scooter for extended periods with ease.
