New Pulsar 125 and 150 Get More Powerful Engines

Bajaj Pulsar 125

The Pulsar 125 now produces 12 PS and 11 Nm, making it the most powerful 125cc bike on sale in India. The Pulsar 150, meanwhile, develops 14 PS and 13.7 Nm. Bajaj has also worked on low-end torque delivery, with 85 percent of the available torque accessible from 3,000rpm onwards. Both motorcycles also benefit from an improved power-to-weight ratio, which helps deliver quicker acceleration, particularly from 0-60kmph.

The engines are paired with a revised 5-speed gearbox aimed at improving tractability in city riding and reducing the need for frequent clutch inputs.

Both motorcycles also get Crawl Tech, which helps the bike move at low speeds with minimal throttle input. The system is designed particularly for crawling traffic, so the bike can run at 20 kmpl on third gear easily.
