Update - Honda Activa 6G is now priced from Rs 68,333 and fetches till Rs 71496. Similarly, TVS Jupiter BS6 is priced between Rs 66,350 and Rs 75,571 while Hero Pleasure Plus is from Rs 60,944 to Rs 65,454. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.

The demand for gearless scooters is ever-increasing in the Indian two-wheeler space as they offer punchy performance with the twist of the throttle, are economical, offer good fuel-efficiency, and most importantly are the easiest means of commuting from one place to another. The gearless automatic scooters have become the perfect choice of intra-city commutes and are loved by both male and female riders and by people of all age groups. In this article, we will be comparing the top three 110cc scooters currently available in the Indian market, the 2020 Honda Activa 6G vs TVS Jupiter BS6 vs Hero Pleasure Plus BS6.

Before we begin, here is a brief minutia on all the three scooters. The Honda Activa has a massive fan following in India and the Activa badge has become a brand in itself. A few months ago, Honda has launched the sixth-generation Activa with a BS6-compliant engine and Activa 6G moniker. TVS Jupiter is another great scooter in the 110cc segment and it is the only scooter which has given a tough fight to Activa. Hero Pleasure Plus is a youthful scooter mostly inclined towards the female audience. While looks are subjective and opinions vary from person to person, all the three scooters are mass-market product and they do look good in the flesh. Honda Activa 6G retains its body shape from its previous generations but now it gets sharp body lines to make it look a tad sporty. It gets an all-LED headlamp, a large tail-lamp that resembles the Activa 125 and subtle chrome inserts. However, it still misses out on alloy wheels. Honda is offering the Activa 6G in six colour options - Glitter Blue Metallic, Pearl Spartan Red, Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Black, Pearl Precious White and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.

TVS Jupiter is a classy looking scooter. It gets a beige finish on the inner panels of the scooter with leatherette seat and also a backrest for the pillion rider. Upfront, it gets an all-LED headlamp, tinted visor and it gets alloy wheels too. TVS offers a wide range of colour schemes with the Jupiter and it is available in a total of 13 different colour options - Matte Blue, Midnight Black, Mystic Gold, Pristine White, Titanium Grey, Walnut Brown, Matte Silver, Volcano Red, Sunlite Ivory, Autumn Brown, Indi Blue, Starlight Blue, and Royal Wine.

Hero MotoCorp has launched the new-gen Pleasure Plus in 2019 and it looks way better than the older model. It misses out on a LED headlamp but gets an ivory finish wrapped around the headlamp, on the front apron and on the side profile. It also gets alloy wheels and looks very youthful, thanks to the funky colour options on offer. The Pleasure Plus is available in 7 different colour shades - Solid Red, Matte Velvet Red, Polestar Blue, Matte Vernier Grey, Glazed Black, Pearl Silver White, and Matte Bottle Green.

TVS Jupiter is the longest scooter in its class, has the longest wheelbase, is the heaviest and offers the best boot space of the lot. Honda Activa 6G has the best ground clearance and the biggest fuel-tank capacity among the trio. Hero Pleasure Plus is the widest, tallest, and lightest 110cc scooter out here. However, all three scooters have an identical seat height.

Honda Activa 6G is powered by a 109.61cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor that churns out 7.79 PS of power and 8.79 Nm of torque. TVS Jupiter gets a 109.7cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine churning out 7.99 PS and 8.4 Nm of torque. While Hero Pleasure Plus is the most powerful scooter and gets a 110.9cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that pumps out 8.11 PS and 8.7 Nm and yes all the scooters are BS6-compliant and comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox.

All the three scooters get drum brakes at both the ends but TVS Jupiter has an upper-hand here as it also gets an optional front disc unit. As an additional safety aid, Honda Activa 6G is equipped with Combined Braking System (CBS), TVS Jupiter gets Synchronised Braking Technology (SBT) while Hero Pleasure Plus gets Integrated Braking System (IBS). The working of all the mechanism is completely identical and it means that when we apply the rear brake, the front brake will also be automatically engaged.

Honda Activa 6G is available in two variants - Standard and Deluxe and is priced at Rs. 63,912 and Rs. 65,412 respectively. TVS Jupiter BS6 is sold in three variants - Standard, ZX, and Classic and is priced at Rs. 61,499, Rs. 63,449, and Rs. 67,911 respectively. Hero Pleasure Plus retails at Rs. 54,800 for the sheet-metal variant and Rs. 56,800 for the alloy-wheel variant, all prices Ex-showroom Delhi.

Hero Pleasure Plus is the most powerful as well as the most affordable scooter of the lot. It is priced very attractively and it screams value. TVS Jupiter's base variant is more affordable than Activa 6G but its top of the line Classic variant is tad expensive. The price of Honda Activa 6G ranges between the Hero's and the TVS' and is the segment leader with two lakh+ units sold every month.
